Brigitte seems to have disappeared, she received two very lovely hairbands from her Auntie Wendy to go with her dress and after trying them on wandered off muttering about something or other!
I decided I'd best go see what she was up to since it had been very quiet for a while....
What is Brigitte doing? apart from making a mess!
"Goodness it's hard work looking for wool!" she sighs laying down.
"Mm it's quite nice laying on soft wool but I think there's a knitting needle in here ! I can feel it near my back!"
Brigitte starts to sit up holding onto the pink wool she's been looking for.
and this is now I find her ! Sitting in my wool box holding two skeins of wool " hello Mum !" she says with a smile " Look what I found ! Is this enough for my new cardigan? "

Oh dear! OH DEAR! It's looking like Mrs Mum is going to be very busy then???
ReplyDeleteI'm rather thanking my lucky stars that none of My Brood are, as yet, into thinking about fashion for themselves and so still just accepting 'whatever' I put on them 'whenever' the mood takes me! Thinking that if THIS is about to thrust upon me I'd better enjoy my life now as much as I can.
PS off topic. Just had a letter from MY local NatWest Bank informing me of their shorter working hours, now only to be from 10am to 3pm Mon-Fri (instead of 9.30am to 4.30pm)...but have remembered that you were mentioning LONGER working hours over there!
Now come ON Kendal! What need have your kids to fnd their own way through the world of fashion? They are the luckiest Sashas in Britain, having you for a mother as your dress sense for juvenile dolls is wonderful. Wait to they reacj their teens! (Maybe it is one of the delights of Sashas that they never do!)
DeleteBrigitte is in for a real treat if Mummy does indeed knit her a cardigan from the beautiful yarn she retrieved from the knitting box. I love those colors and she will look so pretty as she no doubt already knows! She is a beautiful course doll. :) xxx
ReplyDeleteYes Brigitte will be , mummy just as to get her act together ! :)
DeleteHahaha someone knows just what she wants! She has the cutest chubby cheeks and is going to look so pretty in her new pink cardigan Mum!!
ReplyDeleteI love the photo where all the other dolls are inside the cupboard looking out....they look like prisoners with their noses pressed up against the glass! ;)
xxx
Those poor dolls standing waiting watching the world go by! so cruel, I really need to do some thing with some of them :)xx
DeleteBrigitte has such great taste, bless her. You HAVE to make her a pretty cardigan with that yarn. (Is it handspun/dyed pure wool? I have a purple hank like it.)
ReplyDeleteI think the kids in the cupboard look as though they are in one of those glas lifts, going up through the haberdashery floor and seeing miss Brigitte as they pas. They seem to be wondering, 'What IS that girl doing to the shop stock? Where IS her mother? Fancy letting her throw yarn about like that in a store!'
She does indeed, however she also as a mother who takes ages it would appear to get round to doing things! so her cardigan will probably not appear until the autumn! if she's lucky! Yes the wool is homespun, I also have a purple colour :)
DeleteYes that could be a lift those dolls are in watching as each floor goes by !
Good Morning!
ReplyDeleteI just began following you - my first blog to follow!
Being 12" tall and a bear who is interested in clothing, home and garden affairs, as well as the adventures of other bears and their frends, this seems an idea blog for me to read. It can be difficult find suitable reading material as the books on offer here are somewhat large, so I have so much to learn from you about the well designed garden and dwelling.
