COLD ENOUGH AT LAST!

At the Chat n Snap I admired a Sasha that Chris M was selling but told her I was no in the market to buy dolls at the moment. I'd taken along a couple of dolls for the adoption table, a bit of a last minute rush.
Near the end of the afternoon, Chris approached with the Sasha I'd admired and suggested a swap with one of the dolls I was selling. Both dolls were the same price, so I thought why not !

And that's now this young girl, a Unisex Gotz came to travel home with me, while my no navel waif Agnes went home with Chris.

So this is Erica

Yes she is a girl , although Valentine Tells me he'll be quizzing her once he gets the chance!

So to make Erica welcome a new outfit was in order and so finally I got to use the dresses I bought from the SCW back in May!  Cold Enough at last to redress some of the girls who'd not gone to the Chat n Snap ready for the coming winter.

I took the photo's inside to start with then decided it was nice enough to go outside for a photo shoot, so first up are a few inside shots.

Here is Jenny in rose pink and brown.

Magda in grey with a splash of green

Yes , thank you Magda we've seen you already..

Magda! enough! Oh I see you intend to do some modelling when you are older so need the practice!

Meredith in blue

Callie rocks the purple.

Belle in black and gold

Erica in Pink.

so outside we all went..

So now we can see Jenny's Rose and brown outfit by Petrana ,which she's matched with a pair of Lisa Hartley boots.

Jenny is my 68 side part waif .

Next up is Magda in a Grey with a tiny splash of green outfit also by Petrana and boots again by Lisa Hartley. I also own a grey pair, so wondering if she'd look better with the grey boots?

 Magda Button aspiring model !

Next up is Belle in another Petrana outfit and LH boots.

Belle wants to be a writer of children's books.

Belle always takes a good photo !

Meredith in blue my 68 single fringe waif.

For a while Meredith considered leaving us but yesterday decided she wants to stay in the village with her brothers and sisters.

Calico Kate is also wearing Petrana and LH boots , Callie was one of the first Gotz I ever bought , so as been here a good few years.

The sweet Callie close up.

and New girl Erica , a Gotz unisex who is a girl wearing another Petrana outfit and LH boots.

I hope Valentine does not 'change' her mind!

So all the Gotz girls together in their new Petrana outfits.

a closer view.

and the 68 Trendon girls together in their Petrana outfits.

 a closer view.

and them all together looking nice and bright and cosy.

I hope you've enjoyed this Sasha full post :) and have a lovely Sunday.

MEANWHILE

Despite it being the day of the Chat n Snap and needing all the help I can get from the family , I was very good and said to Paul that if he helped me set up and get things going he could come back to the house and carry on with the work we are doing.  I know I know I'm just too generous!

No truly I knew he wanted to get on with the work and as much as he does like to have a chat to everyone I gave him the get out of CnS card, so after taking everything to the hall and helping put out the tables, once everyone who needed a lift from the station had been collected and dropped at hall , he came back to the house and fitted the new door frame.

So when I arrived back home after the event I found this, the frame and side panel fitted !

The view from inside, Milo checking this strange new entryway out! and the plie of bricks and rubbish from the refit.

Paul did come back and spend some time at the CnS in the afternoon as he was getting really cold working outside

So then on Sunday Paul carried on and fitted the door.

From inside.

From outside.

Now it just needs the second of the two locks fitted, one's already in place, then a letter box and some glass , until Paul can make the stained glass, and then we can remove the old front door and get the plasterer back.

So we are still moving forward and I'm so looking forward to making this the front door and getting rid of the old double glazed one.

Unfortunately we have a busy weekend coming up , so no work will get done on this but hopefully by the middle of November we can have the plasterer back and the outside will be rendered before the winter sets in. Plus once the plasterers done his bit the rest is up to us.

Yes that is the royal us!!

CHATTING AND SNAPPING 2016 THE SPOILS..

Well the chat n snap would not be complete without the snapping up of an item or two for the dolls.I will dress my dolls in their new, clothes soon but the Brownies are insisting on keeping their uniforms on a little longer!

This year I was very good and stayed within my budget!

But firs these are my two wins from the raffle , I was very happy to get both of these outfits.

Despite Judith's plans to see me live on beans on toast for the rest of the year I manged to resist and it was hard, the many lovely baby outfits she had on sale but did just treat the babies to a couple of items.

a closer look, at the lovely hippo set and dog set.

I also picked up a dress that was in Judith's reduced box.

From Ginny I bought , two baby coats, I'd ordered in advance, a sweet cat print dungaree set, that was very popular and a lovely liberty print blouse.

From Michelle I bought two pairs of crops /trousers, these will fit Sasha as cropped trouser or the babies/toddlers as full trousers and we also found out they will fit the Wichtel dolls too!
plus six of her lovely necklaces.

She had so many different styles it was hard to chose just six.

 the other three.

These two sweet cardigans came from Jane Woodwards sales table. The beautiful golden mustard one is for one of my non Sasha dolls.
I would have loved to have bought something from everyone but fund would not allow and the nice thing is I can contact any of the sellers and place an order direct or see if a certain item did not sell and buy it then,

So for me a very well behaved buying day. But I plan to save up for next years and not spend most of the money before it arrives... honest!! :)

CHATTING AND SNAPPING 2016 PART FOUR

The Jamboree !

Some of the Cubs had brought along their handmade wooden canoe , one of the guides was discussing just where the nearest river was, so they could go for a paddle!

Lots of the girl scouts stood around the picnic table waiting to see what was coming up for lunch! A little Rainbow and her helper also came along to see just what those bigger kids get up to at a jamboree!

Hattie kept a close eye on all that was happening ready to defuse any trouble or squabbles! Laura along with mini cub scout Clemence  assisted her.

Some of the brownies took notes on what was going on for their magazine, The Guiding Light and had  a typewriter ready to dash off a hot news story!

"Whats this? is someone after the Bear Cub??? "

The Milton Keynes Brownie troop were trying to get people to guess the name of the bear , however they set their stall down right in the middle of the Brown Owl circle ! " Guess the bears name !" called one of the MK brownies
"Toast " said one of the Village Brownies sitting in the circle
"What sort of a names that? " asked the MK brownie
" Well it's what you'll all be if you don't move your table out of this circle! "
One of the MK Guides fainted at that point ! While the others grumbled and gathered up their table muttering.. " really you only had to say "
" I quite like the name Toast for the bear " muttered another

At last the MK Bletchley troop moved and the circle was complete . So the girls wondered what happens now? They were all quite new to being brownies , the owl on the toadstool looked back
" Did that owl just shrug his shoulders.. I mean wings? " demanded Claudia
" Sorry I was daydreaming " said another brownie " can Owls shrug? "
The Owl said nothing.....

The MK Bletchley troop were discussing when to announce the winner of the name the bear competition but were arguing as to whether Toast was a bonafide entry !

The Jamboree was buzzing with the sound of youngsters chatting and enjoying meeting up and swapping stories.

 a few more photos.

Clemence the one and only CUB scout attending....

We even had a Studio Brownie and a Course girl Brownie in attendance !

Hattie would like to thank all those who gathered up their Brownies, Cubs, Scouts and Rainbows to attend the Chat N Snap Jamboree.

Such well turned out children a joy to see.
