OH WHAT A BEAUTIFUL MORNING

OH WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DAY !
I'VE GOT A WONDERFUL FEELING
EVERYTHING'S GOING MY WAY
OH WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DAYYYYY !

Just a quick burst of song to help put you all into a good frame of mind for the week ahead. Today is Easter Sunday and the weather here in the England is set to continue warm and wonderful.
What everyone needs to help lift their spirits, along with the long Easter break of, if you are lucky , four whole days off from work.

The awning is now back on the gazebo and the cushions on the sofa and I've stopped insisting that Paul teach the dogs how to close the door behind them when they go in and out to the garden !

The warm sunny weather is wonderful but also sets in motion all those thoughts of things that need doing. Where as in the winter , you could ignore work that needed doing as it was too cold, too wet, too dark etc, now you can SEE it and it's not going to vanish under a darker sky or a freezing day!
So the garden appears to have sown it's own grass but in the borders or the gravel path alas not on the churned up race track that Casper and Rufus made while chasing each other round the flower garden!
Plants along with weeds are growing aplenty in every border or space available, climbers needs tying in or chopping back, the list is endless!

And lets not forget about the kitchen refit which is coming along slowly, that needs to happen along side the now gardening work that needs starting !

Clara, Courtney and Mike visited today for Easter and we had a great time helping Clara re find the five wooden coloured eggs to fill her basket again and again.

So wishing you all a lovely Easter break, I'll be back soon with a longer post.

Dee

  1. Happy Easter Dee! I know exactly how you feel. I absolutely love spring, and I love working in the yard, however at this time of the year it seems like the number of things that need doing is almost overwhelming. If only we didn't have that nasty thing called a job, we could get so much more accomplished!

    1. Happy Easter ! It's so lovely when Spring finally arrives and i too like getting those garden jobs done. This working lark does get in the way of us enjoying ourselves and doing our gardening and decorating! I'd love to know who invented 'jobs'! ;)

  2. Happy Easter! I am envious of your spring arriving Dee, though our autumn has been quite lovely. Hubby and I have been taking advantage of the last few days and have been enjoying long walks with our dog in the park.
We're both retired so Easter seems like every other day to us, sometimes we don't even realise it is even the weekend! LOL! But we still have the same ol' chores to attend to each week.
I'm just looking forward to seeing your completed kitchen. :)
    Big hugs,
    X

    1. Happy Easter ! How lovely to be retired and able to forget what time of the week it is! I'm looking forward to having that trouble in the not too distant future!
Alas not being retired means the kitchen will take a while to be finished but I will share the trials and triumphs of it's progress! :) x

  3. I find that the only way to deal with things is to 'Take each day as it comes' and do your best! Luckily there is always tomorrow.
A very happy Easter Weekend to you and your family.

    1. That just what we have to do round here ! cannot start worrying about it all or we'd never get anything done! It will happen just not as quick as it maybe needs to!
      Happy Easter x

  4. It sounds like you had a lovely day Dee and sharing it with your family and Clara was extra special I'm sure.
I know what you mean about the bright sunshine showing up everything that needs to be done! Don't you think that painted stuff seems to show up so much worse in the sunshine!!! You might think that something looks fine when it's dull buy my goodness the sun always puts paid to that thought!

    1. Thanks Sharon , we did. :) Clara is such a delight, I could do with another half dozen grandchildren! lol but I'm lucky to have this one , so I'll enjoy her :)
Doesn't it just! everywhere that appeared reasonably clean now appears actually be dirty or in dire need of a good clean/ tidy or chop ! ( in the gardens case! ) but on the plus side that sunshine makes so much difference to our spirits ! :) xx
