MUSICAL CUPBOARDS

Well not that they can play a tune or sing a song ! Purely that the furniture in this house seems to forever be on the move !

So this cupboard was in the bedroom until we decided it had to go. So it was carried downstairs and put under carport. It was made by Paul many years ago and had an hanging rail in it. He made it from an old door off a vintage wardrobe that had been broken up by someone. We used it in our last house, it then went with our youngest when she moved out and then returned to us a few years back when she no longer needed it.

So I put it on marketplace for £20 for a quick sale. However then I started to think about just how much storage space was inside, having had the hanging rail removed when it came back to us and we added adjustable shelves. Paul had given me the measurements for the listing, so I took a tape measure down to the other studio space and checked if I could fit it in the corner. Yes I could!

So today , I moved everything that had been put in that corner and Paul and Linz got the cupboard into place.

Which meant I emptied a couple of boxes into the new cupboard and found some things I had forgotten about including these crackers , water bottle and garden chair!

A little bedside clock and a pair of sandals for a Gigi doll, which I had totally forgotten about.

So now this cupboard needs to either be found a home or sold. On top is a small wooden dolls bed which I am going to make a mattress and bedding for, then give to a local charity shop in time for someone to buy it as a Christmas gift.

I was able to move a few things out of the main studio into the cupboard, so a bit more space was made in there.

I brought my other wooden bed down, to check if it's got any bedding already made and to decide if it's also off to the local charity shop.

The doll studio is starting to get clear, so I will soon be able to set some scenes and chat to a certain Granny  F !
