SAD TO SEE

BUT NEEDS TO BE..

and this time the gorgeous Calico Kate who had been with me for at least five or six years. It strange how sometimes you just have to have a clear out if your dolls , well for me anyway, but it does allow then others to come take their place later

But it had been rare for her to get any attention and my loss is someone elses gain.

If we never moved our dolls on , no one else would have the joy we had of owning them.

  1. You're exactly right Dee, it's a lovely way of looking at the dolly adoption process. I will remember that in future. xx

  2. Very true Dee. It is hard to let go of our dolls especially the ones we have grown to love. But there are times we must resize our collections in order to adopt new dolls. I especially like to see how happy the new owners are to receive our treasured dolls. 😊 xxx

  3. That's true. If you look at it that way, it's easier. But I felt like a very bad mother when I sold my Abby, and whenever I look at my collection thinking, perhaps I should adopt out another one, there are so many reasons to keep them all....

    1. I totally agree, it works both ways, I was nearly in tears the first time I sold one, felt like I was abandoning a child! Now when I look at some I think No I cannot let you be adopted even though I have too many! :)

  4. In the words from the film Frozen..
Let it go, let it go,
    Can't hold it back anymore,
Let it go, let it go,
Turn away and slam the door
That's what I do with my vinyl kids :)
