Well this Easter's been what is known as a washout! Just rainy day after rainy day! Today there was a small window of non rain which did not last long and then another late this afternoon but by which time it was freezing cold yet again.
However I did manage to get out a couple of times today and my most recent was just an hour ago when I took some photos of Wren in a new Petrana dress that's been waiting for a chance to be worn.
Amazingly the spring bulbs have been surviving all this cold and at times snowy weather.
Everywhere is wet and damp.
a nice spring photo

The black background of the wall is making for a nice backdrop for photos.
I have to say that these latest dresses by Petrana are hard to resist such gorgeous colours and I do love floral fabric's.
looking down on me!

Wren is standing on a couple of boxes we use for displaying plants in the summer.
Do you think Neptune's looking happy? Must be all the water that's falling from the sky and soaking everything!
Well I hope you enjoyed Wren mini photo shoot out in the damp and cold garden. I'll leave you with this photo that gives me hope that we may get some spring weather....
A reminder that the Fifth is doll shelf photo day and yes a post did suddenly appear on this, however it was the one I'm preparing as the photos arrive ready for the fifth that somehow managed to appear before it was due!
Here's hoping that the weather starts to warm up.

We had sun today and it is getting warmer. So there is hope!
ReplyDeleteWren looks fresh and pretty in her nice Petrana dress. I love the blue and white floral pattern.
That's good to know! Now if we could get some sun too! that would be wonderful :)
DeletePetrana is using some lovely fabric at the moment , making it very hard to resist!
Pleased to see that I hadn't started to 'loose my marbles' with regards to the 5th of the month shelf photos that you posted here yesterday. Had to double check the time etc. to make sure that it wasn't me.
ReplyDeleteYour matt graphite grey wall is proving to be an excellent blackground for your doll photos and has the added advantage of being close to the house and also shows off your Neptune wall ornament to a 'T.'
Your bright and cheerful Spring bulb containers are way more advanced than up here.
I bet that Wren is thrilled with her new styled Petrana dress...plus it's in your very favourite colours!
No you didn't lose them but once it's published you can republish on the correct date, it as to be deleted and re done , which is why your comment disappeared, sorry.
DeleteThe background is working so well for photos.
Wren loves her new dress.
Lovely flowers to surround your beautiful Wren. (All Wren's are beautiful....I was school age before my parents got round to informing me that it wasn't actually my name!)
ReplyDeleteWe have had no sight of that round shining thing in the sky for months. You know the one? I forget what it was called, but it used to hang about and light things up between time to get up and bedtime. As a result, apart from snowdrops back in January, we've had nothing in bloom, so it is wonderful to see your gorgeous display. Thank you!
It's nice to have some colour in the garden with all this rain!
DeleteI so hope that round thing finds it way back so we can all get some warmth and colour in our lives!
Both the photographer and model are very talented, as the pictures certainly look like a nice, mild spring day.

Oh if only it was a nice mind spring day! But I live in hope we'll get one of those soon.
DeleteWren is gorgeous in her Petrana dress and in your garden. I think I see pansies and just love them. We are having lots of rain and snow too. It snowed yesterday and is supposed to be 80 degrees this Friday. What a wild ride in our weather world. 😊 xxx
ReplyDeletePetrana is using some great fabric's at the moment. :)
DeleteI hope your weather improves, it seems to have been a long winter ! and that weather is all over the place ! :) xx
Despite the awful weather, Wren still looks lovely. In fact the rain probably helps bring out the bright colours, there is no competition between the fabrics, the flowers and the sun!
ReplyDeleteHope you had a lovely Easter Dee xxx
Thanks, she was a bright spot in the grey of the day! Thank you :) xxx
