WE ALL LOVE A PUZZLE?

Don't we? Finally after nearly eighteen years, we are working on the Georgian dolls house front. It's now covering the kitchen table and there it will reside until such time as it's complete... well unless we have guests!

We started opening the sealed bags and checking the contents.

We have no idea what these are meant to be , so therefore no idea where they are meant to go!

I remember buying some stairs because I thought we'd lost the original but there is also

These that were in another bag along with ready made bannisters , however we found the original stairs

so these are the two sets of stairs but a couple of piece of tread are missing, so we need to see if they have dropped out in Paul's workshop, or Paul will have to try and make a couple of new ones.

This is photo of the front taken last month, Paul's now repainted it in Farrow and ball's, Elephants breath a nice pale grey

The dolls house is a proper kit as in you have to do everything, these side stones are all separate, so will need painting and them sticking on individually.

working out what goes where and also which way up!

I had totally forgotten it have this wonderful portico!

So it's slowly coming together, needs most parts to be painted before they can be fixed on and possible missing parts replaced.

I have to say that now we have finally started on it , I'm really looking forward to seeing the finished results.

NB : The columns at the front should they be marble or stone? Let me know what you think in the comments please.

    1. Would that be Wensleydale? or Edam? or maybe a bit of mature cheddar? It's not good just saying Cheese! without giving which cheese! I'm thinking maybe blue vein ! , since that would have a very marble like effect but not sure about the smell cheese would have lingering....
