So finally little Trudy and her pal Esme get a chance to go outside into the garden. Trudy needed some new clothes of her own, so I bought a lovely coat from Ginny at A Passion for Sasha.
Trudy enjoys looking about the box garden from the bench.
Esme's very interested in the outdoors too!
They move on to the Lych gate photo shoot place , for a few photo's.
Once I bought the coat I asked Ginny for a pair of dungarees with the pockets in that same fabric as the coat .
It's quite warm in the sun, so Trudy removes her coat.
By the time she's turned round again Emse is clinging to her leg!
Esme peeps round... "What's wrong Esme ? Oh you don't like being out doors ? but your a rabbit and rabbits live outdoors in burrows in the ground"
Esme looks shocked! " Pardon? you don't 'do' burrows and definitely not in the ground , far too dirty! Oh I see.. your an indoor rabbit....yes yes that's fine.. no.. no.. you don't have to live outside in the dirt "
Thankfully that seems to reassure Esme that she'll be safe and warm.
Trudy asks " Why was him calling for his socks!" she giggles
"Oh that's the name of Lucas's dog " Trudy smiles "That's a good name "
Surprised I ask " What Lucas? "
" No Socks!" she giggles again..... mmm she does not seem worried by the name Lucas? when normally a toddler would look shocked and anxious upon mention of that name..... one of two things must be.. either she's never heard of Lucas OR she's not afraid of him..... mmmm....interesting...

I should enjoy life to the full at the moment as once you've met THAT Lucas I can assure you that your life will never be the same again....however much Mrs Mum may protests/begs to differ that since arriving at The Village from former SS Icy's home he has turned over a new leaf. Remember the old saying....'A leopard never changes his spots!' and I've experienced good proof of this during my life!
ReplyDeleteLoving Trudy's new Passion 4 Sasha outfit and Esme, her little bunny.
PS, Our weather up here has been the same but unfortunately I didn't get the chance to get outside.
So, will Lucas meet his match in Trudy ... ?
ReplyDeleteAlas, poor Lucas! Still living under the cloud of his earlier bahviour. Perhaps he has grown up a little and mended his ways? After all, life with the Ice Cream xxxxxIce Queen must be fading from his memory now.
ReplyDeleteConnor informs me that his bruvver Lucas is not as black as he is often painted and he knows that because Lucas was holding a knife to his throat when he told him he was reformed character and he didn't even cut him!
I love Trudy's little outfit Dee. A great idea to use the same fabric for pockets as on the coat. But, with Socks under Lucas' command, perhaps a little rabbit might be safer indoors?
Esme is so sweet! I never made a rabbit yet, maybe I should give it a try?
ReplyDeleteAnd Trudy is a cutie, but in the last photo I can see a determined look in her eye. So I believe, a rabbit is as safe outdoors as it were indoors - as long as Trudy is there.
Trudy is adorable and I absolutely love her new coat and coordinating overalls by Ginny of Passion for Sasha!. The floral pockets are such a nice touch both coming and going! Sweet hat and shoes too. A great post Dee! :) xxx
ReplyDeletep.s. Looking forward to seeing little Lucas soon. I am on the side that the poor boy has redeeming qualities but no journey has every step forward....must have a few backwards too. ;)
I'm so behind with my blog reading!
ReplyDeleteLove this little girlie and her pretty outfit, the corderoy is so bright and fun, and really suits her tanned skin.
I'm hoping Trudy will be a good match for young Master Lucas.....well we can but dream, can't we!
