JAMES IS ON A MISSION...

" Hi Mum "

"Hi James "

"I was wondering if you knew how long it is until Christmas? "
"Well not really " says Mum " It normally just seems to creep up on me! You know one minutes there's weeks and then sudden only a few days! "

"Really ! Well I like to ease into Christmas " says James with a smile " You know start getting things done, so you can enjoy the day"
"Goodness ! " says Mum " once upon a time I was much more organised but now.. well "

"It's forty days to Christmas or just under six weeks"
"It is!" says Mum
"Yep but don't worry I'll sort the Sasha Village Christmas "
"You will ?  "
"Yes " says James " Just leave it all to me "

turning away he says " No time to waste chatting, I've plans to make and jobs to do , I'll catch up with you later Mum !"
and then he's gone.... the faint sound of  jingle bells being sung filters back into the room as his footsteps fade......

  1. I wonder what he is up to for Christmas - I would keep an eye on him if I were you Mrs Mum. but of course don't let him know you're aware of what he is up to as he is obviously planning surprises.

  2. Oh, how lovely is that for Mrs Mum? What a good, kind and helpful lad he is.
BTW is there any chance that once he's finished over there he could pop here and do the same for me as I just can't seem to get into the Christmas spirit this year?

    2. It is Kendal as long as he knows what he's doing? I'll have to hope he does!
I'm sure Fritz would be a good organiser of Christmas and James could always come along and help.
I hope you find your Christmas spark soon x

    3. Now Simples ! I was sure you'd love Christmas, all those dark cold days just perfect for getting up to mischief!
James sends his apologies but he's way to busy getting ready for Christmas and helping Fritz get started up at The Manor for Lady K 😜

  4. I thought about James with your recent addition of Christie. Since they are both '67 children, they have a lot in common and would likely have great fun together. Now that James is on a mission, I wonder what he will be up to? Perhaps a little elfin fun?? :) xxx

    1. I think they will make the perfect brother and sister both being children of the 60's 😊
The seems to be a lot of noise going on and furniture getting moved about by James on his mission... I'm waiting to see just what is going to happen..... Xxx

  5. Heavens! Is it so close?
When you have organized everything for The Village Christmas, James, could you pop over to Bryn Derw and lend a hand here? We are unikely to be ready for The Big Day without your help.

    1. I don't know Jenni I try to ignore it until two weeks before, then run about getting everything done!
It will be interesting to see just what James is going to do.....
I can see I may gave to clone James or get him to run a Christmas preparation weekend next year!

  6. How wonderful of James to be so helpful, and getting an early start too. Why are my boys (except for Patrick) such procrastinators? Could it be that they learned it from Dad?

    1. It is! He does not get that early start from me! Once I was so organised but now!
Most of them do seem to follow our example..... 😀
