STILL IN SUR GERY....

Lucy is doing well, it will be a long operation but she is coping very well.

I managed to do five plugs on Friday night , so this how she looked first thing this morning.

This is first two rows completed.

Two down and eleven to go!! But I think it's working out OK! Does make your hands ache but so want to see what she'll look like when finished....

To be continued....

  1. It's a bit addictive isn't it! I remember when I was doing one I just didn't want to put the doll down, I just wanted to keep going and going! Yes, it does make your hands sore but it's worth it in the end! Keep going! I really look forward to seeing what she looks like when you've finished.
    Big hugs Sharon xx

  2. She's looking great! Hang in there, little Lucy - you have to suffer for beauty - or so my better looking than me friends tell me.
I can imagine it's quite addictive, even when it is tough going - a bit like scraping alll those little pieces of wallpaper that are too firmly pasted in place.
Will she have a fringe, or all long hair? At the speed you've gathered today, she'll soon be finished!

    1. Thanks Jenni, But don't believe in suffering for beauty! Believe it all best natural!! Lol
It is just like anything that once you start you just want to get to the end, so it's finished and you can see the result, exactly like stripping walls or rearranging a room!!

I have no idea what the end result will be! I'm going to let it all settle and then make a decision ! No doubt with many comments from the Village followers... :)

  3. Gosh you're doing really well Denise! Lucy's looking great so far! Getting very excited about seeing her finished. Any chance of you taking a day off work to speed the process up as I'm one of these people that 'can barely wait' to see things finished!

  4. You're getting on well and what you've done looks really well.
How is it done? Do you push the hair in at the end or the middle? Do you need a special tool?
I imagine you've finished by now!

    1. You use a long needle and you start at the front and push it through from the outside of head in and pull out through the neck, knot the hair twice then cut off extra leaving about an inch past the knot, then pull from outside until knot is against head inside.
      Hope that makes sense!
You do need pliers to pull needle through the head.
Have finished rooting and put photo's on next post.

  5. May Iask - just in case I ever try again - what happens with those holes that look longer, just behind the row you've done here? They look bigger, do they take more strands?

    1. You may ask :) You just use same amount and knot as usual, they are not that big and not all of the hole is open, you need to push needle through and pull out with pliers, double knot which should stop it coming back out, if hair plug too big it will not knot properly.
