Teddy , Connor and Lucas are sitting having breakfast. They have all been quietly munching away when
Teddy says to Connor " I am go home Christmas! you to Connor? "
" Yep me too " agrees Connor happily " Want see Mam and give her kiss!"
A roar comes from the other side of the table where a furious Lucas cannot believe what's just been said.
Teddy looks at him worriedly, Connor with mild interest.
Aggravated Lucas climbs up on his chair and appeals to Connor " YOU stay HERE! NO GO MAM!"
"But want see Mam ! " says Connor quietly " It Christmas, get presents!"
"Mam no well and she miss us " says Connor soothingly " I come back nother times! yes!"
" No you stay here " says Lucas trying to speak calmly " I not well ! need you stay. You my friend Con, you old Mam don't need you " he finishes appealing .
Connor looks down sadly " Must go see Mam Lukey "
Lucas turns his wrath on poor Teddy whose gone off having any more to eat " It's all YOUR Fault ! " he rages " YOU MAMA BOY ! YOU GO HOME! NOT CON YOU!" he points angrily at poor Teddy.
Teddy decides to go get someone to help him pack, he cannot wait to escape the demon Lucas!
Teddy does not need telling twice and is quickly on his way out of the room, Lucas looks back at Connor
"Stay!" he demands
"NO " says Connor firmly looking interested once again in his cornflakes. Lucas's face becomes a cold mask.
Up ending Connors breakfast bowl on his head Lucas calmly walks off , his face set .
Connor shivers at the milk trickling down his back , blinking the liquid from his eyes.
removing the bowl from his head, he sees that he's still got a cornflake on his hand, Mmm that look nice , he thinks and eats it before getting up and going to find some dry clothes. Them flakes have wet his trousers and he don't want anyone think him baby wet his self!
Leaving all their bowls and mess the breakfast room is now empty.
Putting her plate of eggs down, she quickly makes some space to eat, she'll have to tidy up after or her eggs will get cold. But she's going to tell Mum about the mess later.

Way to go Lucas!! I am SO proud of you!!
ReplyDeleteI can see his temper was not controlled when he lived in your cellar! ;)
DeleteWow! There may be trouble ahead........ Got your tin hat to hand, Mrs. Mum?
ReplyDeleteThere could indeed be trouble ahead but it will not be a tin hat I need :)
DeleteLove this little storyline in amongst the superb breakfast table setting.
ReplyDeleteSorry to see Teddy and Connor go but Christmas is a time for familes to try to be together.
Thank you Kendal. Yes Christmas is for families and Connor and Teddy are missing their Mam and need to go and see her. Lucas will just have to get used to the idea.
Delete"Some more please" - very nice setting!
ReplyDeleteWhat will Mrs.Mum do with this child, wich is bit unlucky to see his friends moving for christmas?
There will be more coming :) I think this tale will unfold in a surprising way because he is sad to see his friend leave. :)xx
DeleteOh boy, that wasn't a very nice scene to witness, I have to say. Part of me does feel sorry for little Lucas, he obviously needs company, and I can relate because I used to be so upset when my cousin went home after a long stay with us when we were young, but I really don't like where this is leading. The boys must go home and see their mum, she's already without Angelina for Christmas, she can't be without these two as well....but I think Lucas is going to miss them. :(
ReplyDeleteDee, LOVE this storyline, I can see it's not going to be an easy story, especially not for Lucas, and I loved the photo of Connor with his breakfast bowl on his head and the 'milk' running down his face...it looks absolutely perfect and realistic :)
Maybe Lucas could be distracted by helping you with all you have to do before Christmas? I know this works well with some little kids...having said that, he's not actually really like a lot of other little kids, is he? Good luck my dear, me thinks you're going to need it!!!! ;)
Big hugs Sharon xxx
Yes not very well done of Lucas to tip the bowl on Connor but he as to accept that Connor must go home , just like when your cousin visited you.Lucas as got used to having Connor as his little shadow.
Delete:) glad you are liking this story line, it will not be an easy one. I was good and did not actually use milk but water on the cornflakes, did not want to have to wash all of Connor's clothes before he left! :)
Hugs Dee xx
Lucas's red headed temper again! What fun and how he will miss his 'twin' Connor and even Teddy (though he is cross with them both now). I'm hoping you've got something up your sleeve to distract and try and keep him out of mischief when the others go home to Mam.
ReplyDeleteYes Lucas does have a temper and does not like to be told no! I thought he was getting better but....
DeleteI do have something up my sleeve...... :)
I see Lucas' s heart this time. It is hard to say goodbye to family and friends that we care about. He just needs a little help with processing his disappointment---right? Trying to understand this trying toddler. :) xxx
ReplyDeleteYou see him well Ginger,:)xx
DeleteGreat story Dee - can't wait to see what's next.
ReplyDeleteBut must say how impressed I am with Connor - he's not taking any nonsense from the Ice Prince!
Thanks Rosie. Connor now spent long enough with Lucas to know him :)xx
