BREAD BASKETS AND TARTS !

It was not long before Magda had all the boys off doing her bidding.

Soon Percy and Zak are back with a basket.

They carry it to the middle of the room and then step back.
Magda looks at it worriedly " Are you such that's a bread basket? It looks a little small!"

"Yes " replies Percy " Mum cuts up the bread and puts it in here or sometimes it's got little bread rolls in it "
Magda looks at Percy " Are you sure it's this basket? "
"Yes " smiles Percy.

"Well " says Magda Stepping into the basket " If Fia at the Commoneo's can lay in a breadbasket so can I ! "

The others look on while Magda tries to work out the best and easiest way to get into the basket.

"Mmm " says Anoushka " You are too big to fit in!"
"Yes " agrees Olivia " You feet are hanging over the end and so is your head!"
" I know that!" growls Magda " And it's very uncomfortable!"

"Yes " says Anoushka " Fia must be much smaller than you... tiny even!"
"Are you saying my bums too big for this!" gasps Magda
Olivia hurries to comfort Magda " No No Magda What Anoushka's trying to say is that Fia's bum is obviously tiny! Not that your bum's big!" ends a panicking Olivia
"Just stop right there!" demands Magda going red

Magda manages to pull herself up slightly but is still too big to lay in the bread basket and she's sure it's weave will be imprinted on her bottom when she does finally get out of it!
Anoushka starts quizzing the boys about any other available baskets that may be big enough for Magda to lay in to wait for a handsome prince.

Suddenly Magda's covered by a clear sheet of film
"There you are!" says Toby dropping clingfilm over Magda's head " Your glass coffin!"
"Coffin!" gasps Magda stunned

"What are you doing! " demands Percy " You'll suffocate her doing that!"
Everyone apart from Magda looks angrily at Toby

"Don't look at me like that!" says Toby " Fia's covered in the stuff from head to toe and she's not dead.. well apart from the poison apple ! Magda have you been poisoned yet? "  finishes Toby straightening the cling film into place.

Magda starts to struggle out of the cling film head wrap! She's beginning to go right off Fia!

Getting to her feet, she pulls off the cling film and Percy grasps her hand to help her keep her balance.

" Are you all right? " asks Percy quietly , while the others are all shouting about glass and coffins and clingfilm.
" I don't want to be in a... coffin.. " gulps Magda

" No I don't want you to be in a coffin either " smiles Percy back gently.

"Well the seven de wolves put her in a glass coffin to look at her beauty !" States Toby
"Dwarfs " Shouts Anoushka " NOT de WOLVES you idiot boy!"
" Dont you call me an idiot you .. you.. COW SACK!"
"That's COSSACK " screams Anoushka, laughing " I D I O T!"

"Are you sure you want to be kissed by a prince ? " asks Percy looking into Magda's eyes
" Mmm " mumbles Magda gazing back at Percy's lovely deep blue eyes  " prince? ... ah... " suddenly the noise going on around them breaks the strange spell binding them

"ENOUGH" shouts Magda , making Percy blink and drop her hands , sounding just like their mother does , she turns round and takes charge

" I'm not waiting for my Prince in a bread basket covered in clingfilm !"  she looks at Toby " Go and find me a poisoned jam tart , I have gone right off apples"
" Jam Tart!" questions Toby " Why don't I get a lemon drizzle cake! I hear that's what old witches like to half inch! That's bound to be poisoned !"
Magda gives him the look! " Okay Okay a poisoned Jam Tart ! " He starts to turn away " though where you think I'm going to find a poisoned jam tart in this house I don't know !"

"And bring it up to my bedroom ! I'm going to wait for my prince in comfort !"
"What sort of fairy tale is this? " questions Olivia , Anoushka rolls her eyes " A very long one... "

  1. A delightful post Dee! All of your dolls are so lovely and well dressed for bedtime! Your Magda is quite a hand full to handle. I have to say Percy is just so wonderful and a very handsome boy. I think he is quite "princely" too....maybe more to come between Magda and Percy??? I hope so! I think Magda is very smart to send that Toby off on a goose chase or two! I am enjoying you PJ posts very much!!!! :) xxx

    1. Thank you Ginger, yes Magda is a handful ! In fact quite a few of the girls that live in this village are! Thank goodness a few are calm , sweet and easy going !
Percy is a very lovely lad and does indeed have a 'princely' way about him :)

  2. LOL Brilliant Dee! Love it!
It's a very good story line and as Ginger says, maybe we'll see more to this between those two little ones, Magda and Percy?
I heard that you have to be careful of scones too, never mind just lemon drizzle cake......they are made of gone off pixie dust by horrible witches and can really give you a very bad tummy ache!!!!

    1. Thanks Sharon :)
The story's progressing along nicely in it's own wandering off way! I could not have been more surprised myself when I saw Percy grasp Magda's hand so tenderly ! :)

  3. Well there's certainly a lot packed into this one post! One could easily get confused at times as to which side, for or against, each doll is on.

Throughout the second part of the post when it was finally agreed that there was no way that Magda could 'lie in state' as the bread basket was indeed too small that I thought that Toby would have been sent out to the work shed to enlist the help of Mr Dad to constuct a wooden base to allow Magda to lie full length before being covered by the cling film....(but perhaps they all knew that he was very busy out in the garden sorting out and bedding down the plants for the Winter!.)

Totally agreed that a poisoned jam tart would be much nicer than an apple and that lying on her comfortable bed better than trying to lie in that small wicker bread basket. There's certainly no flies (as they say) on Magda!

Adoring all those pyjama/dressing gowned clad kids.
Await the next installment with baited breath.

    1. It's always hectic in this Village with all these many children !
Unfortunately there was no hope of Mr Dad making anything as you say he's too busy putting his Garden to bed before the Winter decides to finally arrive with a deep cool blast!

And trust Magda to decide that a poisoned Jam tart should be found and a comfy bed to wait in! She would obviously fit right in at the palace ! I'm surprised she's not joined forces with Ruben ..
I too am loving seeing them in their PJ's, they may have to spend the rest of November in them!! :)

  4. Perfect!
This is really a critical analysis of the Commoneos Version of a fairytale -*g
Nobody has to lay down in a breadbasket instead of a coffin.
(Where shall all the crumbs go while their basket is occupied!)

But obviously is 'waiting for a prince' an international employment. For females. Aha!

  5. I think the Commoneo's bread basket is a better size for awaiting Princes ! :) I fear that this is the time of year that many females worldwide are ' laying around waiting for their Prince to appear ' and failing that a nice slice of cake to help while away the time......
