Finally Zak was not the only child waiting on the station platform to be housed in the country!
Some of the children looked sad and worried but then who wouldn't be leaving your parents and going to a strange new place to stay with strangers.
Gradually more children arrived off the trains and stood around waiting to be collected.

All such lovely behaved children.

I have to say I am really disappointed in my photos. I didn't get back to take ones of the station platform when it was full or any long shots of the whole thing and there are none showing my last edition of the double sided working station clock that was in the middle! But there are lots of wonderful photos on facebook and on Dollmum's site ( find her on the side bar ) so they are out there just not here!
But apart from that everything went well , the raffle made £684 and overall the total we will be sending off to charity once the deposit comes back in a few weeks will be around £1130.86.
I had intended to stop doing the chat n snap after this one but I spoke to my helpers and we will hopefully come back and do one more in 2025 so that we make it to ten events a nice number to stop at.
It was only because of Covid that we are not at ten with this one.
I will post about the sales tables tomorrow along with the early raffle table.
And I have to say I was surprised and amazed to receive all these wonderful gifts, from the lovely people who attended this years event. Honestly I was over whelmed and spoilt to be given so many gifts and I thank everyone for their generosity, oh Paul's is the bottle of wine..lol No really it was unexpected and much apprieciated and don't worry, if I do run the one in 2025 I will not be expecting this again :)
