So the start of a new month! October has arrived and so soon! I do love October always changes happening in the garden with the leaves starting to turn, gold, red and orange and the bees hurrying about trying to get in some last nectar gathering before the weather changes again in November.
It's quite warm outside at the moment, only starting to get cooler as the evening draws in. Still plenty of days to enjoy being out and about.
Today was Paul's birthday. A big one as they say. However he still looks the same as he did at forty just now all of his hair is silver grey not just the bit at the sides! Our daughter Courtney came to visit so we all went out for a nice lunch at a local pub and had a lovely time.
We've spent a lot of the week rejigging parts of the garden, well I say we, when I should say Paul, with the odd interference from me. We removed some lovely aster's we have that are invasive, placing them in other parts of the garden where it won't matter if they try to take over. We also left several bags of them out the front for neighbours to help themselves to, along with sending Courtney home with more.
The headliners today are two dolls that are going into the Chat n Snap raffle, along with a few more items. Only 27 days to go until the event, so probably should settle on what I'm doing!!
So it will soon be doll photo day, so please get those photos in so we can all enjoy seeing what they are wearing this autumn.
On the doll front, no dolls have arrived! Yes a minor miracle and six dolls will be on their way to new homes! More of a miracle ! Yes a nice inroad into the dolls that need new homes. I decided as much as I like them , I don't need them, so the first bunch was listed and a nice number found homes.
I really should be working on getting rid of other items of the dolls and not just the dolls but it does take up a fair amount of time and effort. So it will be a slow process by the looks of it! But it must happen.
Happy birthday to all who celebrate this month and I wish everyone a happy healthy fun filled week ahead.
Dee
