THE FIRST SUNDAY IN MAY

Yes it is May ! Which I think is lovely, because it means summer is almost knocking at the door and then we can all start moaning about how hot it is ! Unless it's raining of course.

It's still all about the house and garden here at present, although it's Paul doing all the work. Early in the week he had a bowls match and somehow pulled a muscle or some such, so spent several days in pain when he tried to get up out of a chair. However he was fine standing or sitting, so the day after he did it, he was back outside pottering around doing things!

So lots still happening outside, which is just as well as there is lots still to do !

At the start of the week, I had decided I needed to buy a new cabin to replace the workshop, which is twenty years old, which would mean selling a few of my more expensive Roche dolls. But today I decided that I was being fussy and wasteful replacing the workshop, which although old, is still in great condition and had a new roof fitted only a couple of years back and also does have all the walls insulated, which I cannot do in the cabin without building away from the cabin wooden walls because they need to be able to expand and contract. We only need to put some insulation in the main part of the roof in the workshop and paint all the inside white and it would be ready to move in.

And lets be honest, I'll probably still also use the cabin and keep all my sewing things in that one. However I do agree with Paul, when he says I really need to sort out and get rid of the things I really don't need or use. So at least that's now decided and I can work towards getting the inside sorted, along with Paul and making the move. So I'll be trying to get that done in the next month or so.

Especially as after my lovely visit to Dawn's last Sunday and a good old natter, I said I'd hold a lunch and they could come see the garden when the flowers are all out. Which means I need to really get a move on!

Our headliner today is Magda. She decided to get redressed for the summer, because it was very hot last week, but naturally now she's changed there is a cold wind ! So she's going looking for a cardigan once I finish taking her photo.

On the doll front I sold three last week , towards my sofa and so when the samples arrived I was able to order the one in the colour I wanted, Manolo Flamingo ! Oh yes Flamingo . . . .

Since then I have managed to sell another two small non Sasha dolls and the little doll I ordered has arrived.

She's a little Heather Maciak doll about 8 inches called Jenny Anchor's a weigh ! Unfortunately she's been I believe just displayed standing in her box and her dress has suffered some staining. But I have given it a soak and it's now a little brighter and still alas stained. I may try again later but will buy her another dress and put this one away in her box.

I had a couple of these dolls a few years back and sold them ! I know !! I really need to try and stick to only getting dolls I will keep and not buy and sell and buy again !

But easier said than done by it it would seem.

So on that note I will be off to sort out who is going to get redressed ready for a photo for tomorrow when it's the fifth and doll photo day. Please join in if you are able.

Have a happy healthy fun filled week ahead

Dee
