Liberty looks an absolute poppet here in her royal blue VS front buttoned smock and hair casually tied back off her face. I have always loved the style of the Pintuck's wig, just enough thickness and length of hair to be able to style in several different ways. Rather a pity though that it is only in a wig form and wasn't able to be converted into a rooted style..... as I always feel that many of the Sasha Dolls have far to much hair for my personal liking. How great that you still have your very first Sasha Doll. (Makes me feel somewhat guilty that I haven't kept mine!)
Thank you Kendal, I do love this Sasha. Her hair is so nice and I agree that it's a shame that it's not a rooted doll. I also agree that some have way to much hair which makes it hard to give them a new style.
She looks wonderful Dee. That shade of blue is very becoming to all the Sashas, it works well with their skin tone, but it is especially lovely on Liberty. I so agree with Kendal about too much hair! My daughter calls the later Sashas with lots of factory curled hair 'those awful Dolly Parton dolls.' She loves the early Sashas and any that have straight hair or wigs but thinks the later ones sometimes look as though they have had a serious back combing followed by a whole can of hair spray!
Thanks Jenni. I do love blues and especially on blondes. I suppose the Sasha's hair is down to the fashions of the time they were made and therefore some do indeed look like they have been back combed! I think that's one of the reason's Iove the waifs with shorter hair! gives them a totally different look!
Liberty looks great in the vivid blue outfit! So well put together with her pretty hair ribbon down to her stripy socks and fab shoes! Just perfect :) xx
Liberty does look very pretty in her blue outfit, the colour is gorgeous on her, blue is definitely my favourite colour! I like Liberty very much, she's very pretty and I like that her eyes aren't the bright unnatural looking blue of some of the Pintucks! Oh and those stripy socks, what can I say.....must have been a WONDERFUL person who made those LOL ;) ;) ;) ;) xxx
Definitely a truly WONDERFUL person who made the socks! I can certainly vouch for her and her Sasha sewing as we here have an 'untold' amount of proof!.
Thanks Sharon, I have always loved Blue and bold colours also.I agree about her eyes, they look much more natural than the bright blue ones. The stripy socks are just perfect!! made by a very talented lady from Spain I believe!!! :))
Blimey, I hope people realised that this is just my British humour here, and that I'm not really thinking that I'm wonderful!!!!! Far from it, in fact! LOL But thank you anyway, both of you, for saying nice things! :) xx
