ROMPING IN THE GARDEN

Today is lovely and warm so the baby girls were all put out on their blankets to enjoy some sun.
they are were also having a go on the baby swing, that mum bought from the Chat N Snap last year.

Rosie is first in the Swing. She is wearing one of the new rompers that mum ordered from Ginny of A Passion for Sasha. Rosie chose the pink one and a pink Hattie hat to finish it off.

Mia is playing with the Caterpillar and wearing the green romper with a white Hattie hat, while Josie
is wearing the mauve with a golden yellow Hattie hat.

Dulcie is wearing a gorgeous red romper but not Hat! Hattie is making her one especially to make her new outfit.

Rosie's decided that she's had enough of swinging so Dulcie gets a turn , she lays back watching the sky appear and disappear as she swing gently in the breeze.

Rosie is back playing on the blanket.

Mabel comes by to say hello and check on the babies. Dulcie giggles at Mabel rubbing her head against the edge of the swing!

Dulcie is deep in thought as the swing gently moves when....

Lucas appears...... what's he saying ? " Hello baby! that's a nice swing can you get off now ? "
Dulcie thinks for a minute " NO!" she says firmly.
Lucas pauses for a moment " Would you like a push? "
Dulcie thinks for a minute " NO!" she says firmly
but she also nods at the same time ! for a moment Lucas is confused...

He goes round to the back of the swing and starts pushing, every time he stops Dulcie shouts " NO!" firmly and he starts again.

After a while he climbs on the back of the swing and they both giggle and laugh as the swing rocks crazily and swings.

If Lucas thought he would be next he was sadly mistaken for as Dulcie climbed out Josie  climbed in immediately shouting " NO!" at Lucas and pointing to the back of the swing and smiling!

Lucas pushes Josie while she laughs and giggles calling  " Mo Mo ! " which he takes to mean more!!

Mia is fed up of waiting for her turn , so pulls herself up the side of the swing and says " ME ! Me Now!"
Josie says " NO!" with a fierce glare " Me!"

But Lucas stops pushing and says " No... it's Mia's turn " and refuses to move until they change places !

" Up Up ! " cries Mia to Lucas , who pushes her high, while she laughs with happiness , Lucas feels a warm glow, which is a very strange feeling, maybe he is getting sick! he thinks for a moment then forgets as Mia demands even more pushes!

At last! all the babies are worn out and dozing off on their blankets in the warm sunshine.

Lucas climbs into the swing and sighs. he sits swinging gently for a while waiting to get some energy back then..

he starts to push and swing hes legs back and forth until he starts to climb ever higher.

He laughs quietly not wanting to wake those pesky babies or they'll want him to push them again!

Raising his arms to the sun , he thinks  just a couple more swings then he must go before someone finds him here!

Thanks to Ginny of  A Passion for Sasha on Etsy who kindly made this rompers for me and also K&D designs for the fabulous baby swing, their details are on info page.

I will add a photo of the babies in their rompers here tomorrow as the camera froze and would not work for a few hours and I thought I'd lost all these photo's but luckily it fitted it's self after a while! but I have now run out of time.

  1. I hope the babies had suncream on in all this lovely sunshine. Funny Lucas and his warm glow, I think he needs an ice cream quickly!

    1. Yes the babies had sun cream and were soon taken inside out of the sun. I think Lucas's warm glow did not last long ;)

  2. I have always loved Rompers on babies. They make them look so neat and tidy concealing those bulky unattractive nappies that you can't fail to want to pick them up and give them a cuddle.
Love how you have chosen the special colours to suit each one.

Great to finally see the swing out in action and everyone taking turns and even enjoying, in spite of a few protests, being pushed by Lucas. From his past experience I was half expecting him to have pushed so hard that the swing might have toppled over and a baby or two fallen out..... BUT I should know what thought did!
I'm pleased to see that he eventually got a turn for himself after all his hard work when the babies had settled down for their afternoon nap. Definitely looking like he has turned over a new leaf!
(Smiled at Doll Mum's comment above about the ice-cream/Ice Queen!)

    1. I also love rompers on this Sasha babies they just look right! There were quite a few colours to chose from that I am tempted to go back for another couple!! But must resist!

It was lovely to finally be able to get the swing out and for the babies to play with it! The perfect garden swing!
I could not believe how well behaved Lucas was but then my stories have a life of their own and do not always do what people expect!! :)
Yes the Ice Cream? Queen would not be happy at what she saw!!

  3. Awww a lovely summery post of the babies enjoying their beautifully made swing! And then along comes Lucas! I too thought that it was all going to end badly, so I was really pleasantly surprised to see that he played nicely and gave the babies a push on the swing! And yes, a warm glow...things are looking up!
Love the post Dee, and the babies in their lovely rompers....sooo pretty. My little Bertie is still naked....I'm beginning to think he always will be, poor little fellow!

    1. It is a well known fact that the surrounding family/people and the environment have a great effect on children's behaviour!
      I''l say no more!

    2. The Ice Queen bleats that her child's bad
      Forever wants him frozen sad
      had she time and energy
She freeze him in place at her knee

That ice is good and burns the soul
that her ways best when she's on a roll
but it's a shame she's got to see
that now he's living safe with me

So blow your frost and drop your ice
for Lucas will be turning NICE!!!!!

  5. Hi Ronny

Are you convinced this really is Lucas? My Connor is still not home.....

But, if it is really Lucas, I'm sure there will be occasional flashes of his original bad behaviour before Hattie finally tames (or crushes?) his spirit. She will not allow any small person to barge in and destroy the harmony of the Village People (oops, said it again, sorry Dee! hee hee) and ruin her business prospects.

Does it seem from the last bit of the story so far that he is in hiding still, though? He doesn't seem to want to be found but then, what are those little babies doing climbing in and out of the swing unsupervised!!! And SOMEBODY sent social services round to me to see about my childcare ability when Connor went missing, not to mention the one coming tomorrow to see if I've starved or beaten my mother recently.......

Love the rompers Dee - they were out of fashion when my children were small but my son wore his uncle's baby clothes, carefully stored by mother for decades. Rompers look so sweet and are very practical. The swing is fabulous too. What a great buy.

(I was just asked by DH whether the 'Chip and Snip' sold things on-line. Confused dolly loving darling that he is, he is saving his pennies for new outfits for his boy Petey.)

Hattie is not impressed by being called a Village people!! We are a CLAN !! Hattie would also like to point out that it's not one of our lads that's walking round in a PINK GIRLS brimmed hat!!

I love these little Sasha babies in rompers, they look so sweet!

Is your DH feeling hungry and in need of a hair cut?? Chip n Snip!! indeed !! Chat n Snap!!
Although there is not an official online purchase site, he can use the event photo's and report to track down good quality clothing suppliers, all details will be placed on info page with photo's of said goods.

Astounded to see Lucas being considerate ... doubt it'll last! I'm beginning to wonder if it's Connor too!?

    1. Oh, no! Have I inadvertently started something Dee would prefer not to have come about??? (hee hee, that'll teach her to accuse me of neglecting Connor!)

    2. Thank you Rosie. Luckily the girls hats were ones waiting to be sold, so they have nipped in and claimed them!! So now Hattie's making more!
I was wondering if it was Connor but Lucas can talk much clearer, having had to grow up quickly when in the ice queen palace.
Mabel likes to get in on the act :)
We have NOT become the Village people!! excuse me a moment.......turn that record off NOW! Your not staying anywhere!!

sorry about that.. thanks for commenting :)

I apologize to dear Hattie for any hurt feelings but NOT TO MRS. MUM who has regularly told social services untruths about my parenting skills. IT IS SLANDER!!!!

I had to wait for Mabel to remove herself from the scene a few times with a little encouragement from me!! :)
