WHILE THE CAT'S AWAY

THE MICE DO PLAY......

Out in the garden Major neighs softy to his new friend.

The two horses look well together but does Mum know that the one horse she finally agreed to keep, just before she left for her week away, has some how acquired a friend!!!!

  1. Well well well! I've heard of multiplying like rabbits, but horses? Never knew they multiplyed so quickly!!!
Having said that, you really would need more than one because there'd be a fight over who got to ride it.....so makes sense to have another! I often think that I'll get a Nancy horse and paint it darker in colour to make it look more 'real'.....I've seen them many times at the secondhand market here, it's just that when I last had that thought to get one.....so I didn't see a single one! LOL oh well!
Guess my dolls will have to stick with Shanks's Pony! ;)

    1. These horses are a little addictive! And huge! take up lots of space but I need two for some plans I have for next year and this new one came up in uk so I snapped it up!.
Never heard of a Nancy horse but I assume they are white or pink!! You never see them when you want them that's why I went for this second one now!!

    2. Yes, Nancy is a Spanish doll of about 18 inches and the Nancy horses are indeed white and some have a pink main and tail. Size wise they'd be perfect but not as they are, they'd need to be painted. When I wasn't thinking about getting one I saw about 4 all in the same day on the secondhand market, but haven't seen any since! I will have to keep looking....

  2. Heehee, Sharon.
Rabbits? What about mulitplying like dolls? Mine seriously inclrease in numbers fater than our rabbits used to....... with no help from me at all. No... I didn't buy them, they just came on their own, honest....
My Sashas's are demanding a horse but, in fear that they have caught the never-know-when-enough-is-enough disease from me, I'm resisting the idea. Now I know Dee's kids have caught it, I', very aware that it is more infectious than I thought it might be.

    1. Yes definitely dolls multiply in this house even when I try sending some off out into the big wide world other's seem to see that as a space available for them to fill !

  3. I'm guessing that horses for the Sasha Dolls will be the latest craze then?

I know that my Brood would love to own one (or two) but having ventured down this road in real life, with my own ex-racehorse (Harleythorne) and a Welsh show pony for my daughter (Graedon) I'm trying to resist due the initial expense, never ending vet's bills, grazing land and general up-keep costs.... not to mention the rider's head to toe 'Health and Safety' clothing.....so think that we'll hang fire until I see how YOU all get on!

(This Sasha Village blog is getting rather too much of an expensive tempation for us up here....might have to try to give it a little rest !!!)

    1. Never having owned a horse real or otherwise until now, I'm quite enjoying the 'craze'!! lol I would avoid them like the plague Kendal, they are very big and I now have them in a very large box waiting for a suitable place for them to live!!
I'd best take the week off, to stop you having any more temptation placed before you...

    2. Believe me, Dee, your's are the best option if you want to keep finances in check (give or take a little dolly buying that is...) We only have 3 little donkeys now, and don't have them shod, just their hooves trimmed by the farrier every 8 weeks. They don't cost anything for feed and earn their keep buy being sheep guardians but, when my sweet old pony was aging, the vet bills were incredible. Stick to you mini-ponies!

    3. Oh how lovely to have three little donkeys!! My eldest Lauren, loves donkeys, they are such sweet looking animals.....mmm I wonder if you can get donkeys like these horses??? I may have to do some research.....
I'm glad we won't have any extra vets bills, Two dogs and three cats is more than enough
      for the Vets!!
