There was someone wandering round the garden!
He was having a good look round!
He looks a bit scary !
He was in the Cloisters by the time I found him.
" Hello , Do you have a name? " I asked
"That's a good question! " I replied
"It is? " he queried
" Well, I'm thinking maybe Jake? or Julian? or William or Spike? I just cannot decide!" i muttered " You are such a boy!"
He rounds his eyes wondering just where he's arrived !
" Never mind come inside and meet the others , I'm sure we'll sort your name out soon " I say hopefully!

No not a Sasha but the latest member of the doll family here in the village. A Zwergnase boy in their new larger size. They have made just a few in this sculpt but in the three hair colour's , Blonde, Red and Brunette.
I was tempted by both the brunette and the red head but decided on the blonde as I don't have many blondes in this make of doll.
What drew me to him , is his looks so much like a boy! You could imagine him getting up to all sorts of things ! Climbing trees, making dens in the garden, coming home covered in mud and twigs from playing with his mates!
But now he needs a Name as Iwo just won't do ! I'm sliding towards William or Spike or Jake !
Feedback on those names would be welcome or maybe you can see his name and tell me? If it's the right one I'll know :)

Jake with Spike alas a nickname (possible back story fodder?).
ReplyDeleteMmm I'm liking your thinking here :)
DeleteWhat a lovely looking boy! I like Jake too :) x
ReplyDeleteLooks like Jake is a popular choice.. :)
DeleteHUGE congratulations! And he really does look large! I really really like the look of him. Good luck with the name choices......he looks German to me.
ReplyDeleteHa Ha , He's 55cm tall, so quite tall :) He looks such a boy I could not resist! German... Hans? Herman? Ludwig? :)
DeleteWere you thinking William as in Just William? Would that be asking for trouble?
ReplyDeleteHa Ha Well when I thought of William ... Just William popped into my head too!... :)
DeleteWow - what a boy! The Zwergnase dolls are irresistible. He is fantastic; congratulations on this newest addition to your family.
ReplyDeleteThey are! Which is why they keep turning up here even when I say no more!! lol :)
DeleteBut - ooh - love the girls as I do, the BOYS are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to Wotsyername, though I think you might be renamed as Spike now, or am I being previous there? Erm, if you met up with a brunette boy waiting to move to Wales, did he happen to tell you his name? These naming anxieties keep me awake all night sometimes.
It's so nice to finally have a boy from this maker. and I love that he looks like a boy! :)
DeleteI'm sure it's something welsh? but he cannot remember exactly what!
He certainly looks like a boy. I'm not certain if he really looks German, but as a Zwergnase kid, of course he is. We don't name boys Ludwig any more - modern boys get funny names like Torben, Finn, Luka... and some classics like Paul or Alexander. But I think Spike suits him?
ReplyDeleteLove his expression.
He does :) sorry about the Ludwig it was all I could think of at the time of writing! I like that name Torbin and Finn:)
Deleteyes I think he may land up with Spike as his nickname!
He's a lovely boy and I was very tempted by him too....well I think you could call him William but his nickname could be Spike? Then maybe Jake could be his middle name. William Jake Owen, also known as Spike!
ReplyDeleteHas a nice ring to it, don't you think?!
I look forward to seeing more of him here on your blog.
xx
That's the problem with all these dolls way too tempting!
DeleteLove where you are going with the name, I think Spike as his nickname as stuck now :) xx
