ALMOST

 

Remember way back when I was going to get round to covering finally my craver chair?  Well we have finally done it. . . well almost 

Deciding I could not have the chair, along with all the items to fix it, sitting around taking up space over Christmas, we started to fix the seat area.

Paul did the webbing, needing to pull it tight across the seat.

Naturally I could not find the fabric I bought for the 'dust' cover and after several trips to 'where' I last saw it and then where it might have been up, I gave up on that and found this black fabric to do the job.

So next it was deciding on which fabric to use. There were three pieces of velvet William Morris fabric, of course, to choose from.

First was this yellow and beige one.

Second this pink and green fabric 

lastly was this sunflower design in black and beige.

We decide on the pink and green .

So with a small piece of upholstery foam and some soft padding, the fabric is now attached and just waiting for the braiding to be added, it's in the post, and to have the wood polished with a oak coloured wax.

But finally it is useable and all the repair items have been up away until the new year when we will have to do the four matching chairs.
