JEAN JENSEN TRIBUTE FROM ELLEN CHURCH.

Ellen Church put together a tribute to the wonderful late Jean Jensen using the lederhosen in her collection.
here are some of her wonderful photo's.

Lovely photo in green and red very festive for this time of year.

Another style with over the knee and tied.

Here we have a lovely blue set with shirt and dress in the same fabric. The boys shoes are also by Jean Jensen.

Another green and red set with again the matching shirt and dress fabric and Jj shoes on the boy. The little jackets give it that true Austrian look of the Alps.

And a wonderful photo of all eight together. I could see this as a border round the dado rail height of a little girl's bedroom in stead of the alphabet ! A gorgeous continuing row of beautifully dressed Sashas and Gregors, in fact would not mind that myself...although that could just push the DH over the edge!!!

Just have to point out Jon here who is Ellen's new boy so a Dollember member .

Once again I must thank Ellen Church whose property these photo's are and for giving her permission for me to share them with you in honour of the Late Jean Jensen, a lovely lady whose friendship and Talent will be sorely missed in the world of Sasha.

  1. What beautifully dressed Sasha and Gregors, those lederhosen outfits are just gorgeous! Jean really will be missed, not just for her lovely personality but for her incredible talent. I know I only knew her for a short time, but the emails we exchanged were so full of life....so sad. I will treasure my little shoes, just as I'm sure Ellen treasures these lovely outfits.
And a very handsome bunch of dolls too! Congrats to Ellen on her new boy, Jon, another handsome beastie if ever I saw one!

  2. Sharon has said everything I was thinking to say - and I too have some lovely, friendly and such helpful emails from Jean who was always so positive. I think we shall all treasure every pair of her miniature works of art we are lucky enough to own. The quality of Ellen's styling and photos is truly amazing and that line-up is something else!

  4. Gosh Dee, you're certainly keeping me on my toes with all these posts.
My sister is always telling me that I should try to experience an adrenalin rush at least once a day but here you're making me have two, sometimes three, when I suddenly spot yet another new post and race to get there to comment before SS-R!
Hope that the old heart manages to last out at this rate.

SS-R should be pleased with this 'all but one' Frido/Trendon line up. Though how that No-navel lass managed to sneak in here beats me? Can only presume that you haven't a non NP brunette Frido/Trendon girl that would fit the bill OR that she was the one already wearing the matching dress..

Jon's a super replacement for my 'returning home to the Sasha Brood,' James.

    1. Cannot have you all thinking I do the same thing at the same time on the same day!! That would be way to boring!
I blog what ever comes to me and some times idea's or photo's are like buses and all arrive together ! lol and other times I am busy working so they have to wait until I have time and then they appear!!

I have a sneaky feeling Ellen's put that Gotz girl in to brighten Ronny's day :)) If not she certainly brightens mine ! :)

    3. I'm glad that you clarified and retracted this point within seconds..... or else you might have been in BIG trouble and been put straight onto Santa's naughty list!
Only joking! Being retired I need a guide or deadline for these things as I have a tendency to put things off until tomorrow and just carry on drifting nicely through life, (which is truly wonderful after 25 years of teaching and having to always clock watch !)

    4. Well Done K! You beat me to it today! Except for that odd Gotz, super post of Ellen'sdolls, lovely to see a post that has absolutely nothing to do with Christmas!!! Yay!!! Still, the nearer we are getting to it being all over ...so there is a bonus :)

  5. From Ellen Church

Kendal is right on with her comments! The no navel became part of the group because she was already wearing this dress that had a matching boy’s shirt....and because she is a brunette I had to choose a boy with matching brunette hair. If I had had more time I think I would have undressed some blonds so that the entire group would have been blonds. I can really get so into dressing these dolls...I sometimes forget to eat. I am like Kendal. It would be so easy to float along with the dolls all day and not think about anything else...now that would be heaven!

    Hugs,
    Ellen
