These are the gifts I received from my friends.
Gill bought me the sweet shop so I can use them with my shop front on the blog and of course I will need to eat and replenish the stock on a regular basis ;)
Steve gave me the union jack suit which he knew I loved when I saw it on his NP eyed boy and now the boy's gone off to pastures new and I have an NP eyed lad ( Erik the Viking) he's passed it on to me, also included with his gift is the tiny brown Schuco bear from the 1940's/50's he tells me (The Bear that is ) that he is a very good friend of Reuben's!!!!!
Kendal very kindly gave me the red desk lamp and torch which are a perfect size for the Sashas. I also received from Kendal the beautiful green Vintage Sasha outfit, which I was over the moon to get as I had missed the one that Sarah put on for sale and just adored the colour and I love Sarah's smocked dresses with shorts outfits.
As luck would have it I had bought a matching pink outfit from Sarah at the Chat n Snap in October so cannot wait for next spring/summer when I can start using these outfits on the girls!
This is my present from Paul the DH!! About a month or so ago Cathy put a link to this on the Ruby Lane site. I went to have a look and thought what a gorgeous almost mint pram complete with it's little apron.
I worked out the sterling cost and mentioned to Paul that this perfect Red pram with apron was on at a good even with postage price.
I saw him looking at the three I already own and I went off to reply to an email I had received from a friend.
When Paul said " I'll buy it for you for Christmas if you like" !
You would think I jumped at the offer but no I carried on with my email and thought about if I truly needed another pram ! Once my email was finished I thought about the fact that the price was very good for one with an apron and in such good condition and then that I could always sell one of the others later, so I accepted Paul offer to buy it and it arrived a few weeks ago beautifully wrapped in Christmas paper with a bright pink ribbon.
It still retains it original price ticket from the 50's /60's of $8.95 !!! oh to buy them for that price!! although no doubt that was a small fortune in those days!.
I bought one of DollMum's games sets at the Chat n Snap for the Sasha Village Clan for Christmas. They cannot wait to start using all the different games.
I also bought the babies the beautiful swing by KD, details are on my sales page. I would show a photo but it's packed away at the moment while the visitors are here but it will be featured in blog posts in the new year.
For the bears I bought this pet carrier. It attaches to the American girl bike I have and means that the bears can be transported about the garden on mass! I found this for sale on UK Ebay which was great as it saved on cost of US postage and customs charges.
I also have a new girl on her way to the Village which I bought with the money my three daughters gave me for Christmas. Well I actually bought her before they gave me the money as I saw her and she was too good to miss, so she should be here in the New Year, so more details when she arrives.
These are the Sasha cards I received from Sasha friends, I love receiving Sasha cards so interesting to see what people do.
A lovely selection.
These are the cards I sent to Sasha friends but being me I could not find the file I had put the photo in from last winter that I took especially for using as a Christmas card. When I finally found it and ordered them,on 2nd December! ) I did not order enough and had run out of time to get any extra, so if you received an ordinary Christmas card from me this year I apologise and promise to do better next!!
This is Claudia in her winter Dollie patch outfit pulling some of the bears along in the snow last Winter.
Well I think I have done very well this Christmas on the Sasha front and cannot wait to start using all these wonderful gifts in the coming year and beyond.

Hello Mrs Mum , Sashas and Bears
ReplyDeleteWe, the girls of Bryn Derw Sasha Home, wish to be adopted into a family with not one, but FOUR Red perambulators. ......There are rather a lot of us and it is a long walk for those who are too financially challenged to catch the train so maybe we should stay here and ask Father Christmas to look out for one for next Christmas. Not long now, it's almost 2014 already.
Please can we see a picture of dear Hattie pushing the new pram in your wonderful garden, once the weather has improved? That way we can tell FC where to look to see what we are asking him for. He may be confused by the whole asking for a blue Red pram but a close up photo might help.
Love,
Your friend, Connie Sasha xxx
Dear Connie
DeleteI think it would be a good idea to ask father Christmas if he could bring you a pram next year, this time last year we did not have any prams either!! They have been a little like buses Mrs Mum says all turning up together!!
It is a good idea to stay put because you would probably be able to buy two prams for the cost of all the tickets to come to us by train!
We will try to con .. I mean get Hattie to push the new pram round the garden when we get some brighter weather, Hattie is not really a pram pushing Sasha but I am sure we can make ..I mean ask her... just for you all.
Maybe you could start a fund just in case FC forgets?
Well I must go and see what's happening , there is a lot of noise and something about Hattie wanting to wear the union jack trousers that Steve gave Erik!!
Have a happy New Year
Love
your friend, Ginny xxxx
Hi Ginny!
DeleteMaybe you could show off the pram instead then? But do tell Hattie that New Men also push prams, so there is nothing over-girly about it anymore. Our big human brother got into a SERIOUS argu erm, debate with a large lady who thought boys shouldn't push pushchairs and that it was silly anyway because his bear was brown and his baby doll was white.(Here Mum interjects that that was a VERY silly thing to say to any parent - 3 years old or otherwise, given the area of London they lived in then where there is...well.... a cavalier attitude to permanent spousal arrangements!) He asked her why he couldn't get in some practice for the day when he was a big daddy man who would want to help look after his own children and (here Mum nearly died of embarrassment) was she really so silly that she couldn't see that his doll/teddy children were adoptioned, or did she need to go and see the opticianisting man for some glasses! Rude, we know, but at least he stood up for we dolls and his own beliefs.
He also got thrown out of toddler Sunday School for asking too many questions that year, but that's another story! However, we Sasha kids like that he stood up for us all those years ago.
Connie xx
Hi Connie
DeleteOh Hattie does not think it's girlie to push prams It just that she's always too busy bossing..I mean helping people out! So it may be hard to get her attention long enough for a photo shoot..maybe we could tell her to use it to transport her hats!!
Zak loves playing with the babies and he likes to push prams too! I think your human big brother sound a very clever and intel intel gen... brainy boy who I bet is a very good dad now he is old and he was telling the truth not being rude, children that old say what they see! We believe anyone can do anything, especially when it comes to washing up and cleaning!!
He sound like a real hoot for a human brother , I bet he tells good stories.
Don't worry we'll find someone to push the pram maybe to be fair one boy and one girl....
Ginny xxxx
Congratulations on your 300th blog post this year. I have enjoyed each and every one of them.... so please keep them coming 'as thick and fast' over yet another year as they make my day into a Sasha Day....and those IMO are the best days of all!
ReplyDeleteYour gifts and presents are just superb! I've already know just what to ask Santa for next year.....your DH Paul (or at least as similar a one as he can find.)
A very happy and Sasha fun filled New Year. Greatly looking forward to seeing your new girl. Might she be Reuben's 'Little Miss?'
Thank you Kendal, it's definitely been the year of the post!! and also the pram!! Hopefully I will have as much to blog about next year !
DeleteI have been very lucky in my Christmas presents this year, them all being Sasha related and Paul is OOAK :)
Reuben is Hattie's bear now.....well at the moment as much as he may fight against it!! :)
Happy New year xxx
What a lovely bunch of Sasha goodies you received as presents Dee! Well done and congrats on them all! I love the pram, it's really nice and such great condition. I daren't let my girls see it or they'll be pestering me for one....each.....and I can't afford to get just one of them at the moment! The Union flag suit is brilliant, soooooo 1960s! I really look forward to seeing your Erik wearing this outfit.....but where on earth will he hang his sword?!
ReplyDeleteThe dress set is very pretty and along with the pink set will look great once your weather warms up enough.
The sweet shop is great and yes, it would look very silly having empty jars.....so you will indeed have to replenish the sweets on a regular basis!!! I love Pick n Mix...maybe I need to come and shop at your little Sasha sweet shop!!!!!
Happy New Year to you and I hope 2014 brings you all you'd wish for!
Big hugs Sharon xxxx
Yes a very good haul !! lol
DeleteHopefully the sun will come out early next year and warm up so I can use my new outfits and not have to wait too long!!
Pick n mix, that would be good for the sweet shop when It needs restocking....all are welcome to come and purchase from the Sasha stores ! :)
Have a lovely new year, I hope it brings you everything you need and plenty of Sasha's....
hugs Dee xx

DeleteI hope the sweets are still around by the time I start bloging or I'll have to buy more :)
