MILLIE GOES VIBRANT !

I finally got some time to welcome Millie into the Village clan. She's now had a wash including her hair and changed into a lovely bright batik dress by Michelle.

I do love these vibrant dresses.

It was quite hard to catch the true colours in this dress.

Still muted but I do like her in this.

Still a few flowers to go in yet! But that means we can use them for a photo shoot like today's.

Finally this one shows the beautiful vibrant colours in the dress.

Well Millie's very happy to finally have escaped the worse original outfit put on a Sasha and is looking forward to many changes of clothes over the coming months and no more woolly knickers!!

  1. She is even more gorgeous after a little Dee-Tee-El-Cee! Hello, sweet Millie. My Millie is waving to her name cousin!

But...whadya mean, FINALLY, Dee? It's only a couple of days since Millie arrived at The Village! Around the environs of Bryn Derw, 'finally' means after about two years. We have 8 of those lovely dresses, but no decent shoes to show them off with, so the girls are still waiting.

We also have two partially dressed Gregors and Connor keeps flipping back to the photos of Diane D's large family of toddlers, looking longingly at all those little shorts and tees by Auntie Judith Dollydoodles and the sandals. He holds up his booted feet and sighs sadly - little drama king!

Summer is here - got to get to Sasha dressing, but gardening and preping fora possible moe in by number one and only son and wife are getting in the way.

    1. That's nice of you to say Jenni. Millie is waving to your Millie and hoping she's got some shoes to wear! My Millie cannot quite believe how many shoes there are in this house!!
In the village we like to spend some early time with new arrivals settling them in, dressing them in some new clothes and making them comfortable before we ignore them!! :)

Tell Connor to look at Ruth's for toddler sandals although Lucas's came from Monica in the US a very fine craftswoman.

Gardening and work is getting in the way of Sasha play round here but soon it will all so down, well the gardening anyway.!

    1. Thanks SS, I bought that dress before I bought Millie but I was on the watch for a Cora so knew it could come in handy when I managed to acquire one! :)

  4. She looks STUNNING after her wash and shampoo and change of clothing. Those super vibrant colours so suit her beautiful dark skin tones. Matching JJ sandals too! What a very lucky girl!

Thse newly bought plants surrounding her just enhance the overall picture.

PS. I hope that this Sasha play and photoshoot was being done in your lunch break and that you weren't just leaving Paul to do carry on with all that workload on his own?

    1. Thanks Kendal. The bright colours do suit her skin tone. It's very handy having some plants waiting to be put into the garden or pots! Makes for a nice colourful backdrop.

I took these photo's at about 8 am this morning while Paul had a lie in but I have not done a lot of gardening today, we decided to have a rest day although Paul's been out pottering I have only pulled up a few weeds or given my opinion!! :)

  5. Awww what a sweet look for your new girl, Millie! My Cora has also changed into a better, more suitable outfit, throwing off her knitted knickers and that strange top.....but no photos as yet. Maybe tomorrow. The dress by Michelle is very pretty on her and the colours are lovely!
