    1. She is lovely. She came from her original owner which is nice. It was handy having the flowers waiting to be planted, made a lovely background for her :)xx

  3. OOPS!!!!
But she's gorgeous and who could resist her?

I aways think these early Cora's need rescuing by a new mother who realises a girl should have decent clothes! Though I love the dolls, this outfit is probably my least favourite of all original Sasha clothes. You have great taste in clothing, Dee, so find the poor girl something to cover those awful woolly bloomers. Or better still, give her some decent,21st century undies as we as a new dress

    1. Hi Jen....I know what you mean about the outfit.....Sasha outfits are all so dull!! Real children would have been dressed in something as grim as that :) The imagination put into designing Sasha outfits was zero...I might not like Gotz dolls but at least they made some cracking outfits!!

    2. Jen I so agree about this girls outfit, why the knitted pants? was there peopl walking round in the seventies dressed so? I don't remember them if there were! I'll be finding the poor girl some decent clothes as soon as Paul stops working me to death in the garden!
But I thought I would share her arrival as she is so sweet :)xxx

  4. and a very pretty OOPS she is too though I hope that won't be her name, it might scar her for life.

    1. Lol , no she's not going to be scarred for life with a name like Oops! I have not yet settled on a name for her, but it may be Millie, I need to check if she likes that name or she wants another!

  5. She's really sweet, Millie really suits her or possibly Daisy (oops a...)!!

  6. I think Oops! is a great name but it has a masculine ring to it - or maybe the ring of a name a woman might choose for a man. Watch out for a doll called Oops! at Bryn Derw - if I ever buy another boy and IF I ever get back into the swing of blogging.

Ronny, we call the original Trendon clothes the orphanage uniform - all those poor boys in endless, and often moth-eaten navy sweaters or odd hippie tunics cut low to show off the dreadful gold medallions that, fortunately they didn't have. Also, I have no recollection of boys in the 60s/70s/80s wearing those awful sandals! So, appart from the jeans, it's off the clothes come! Into the bin with the moth nibbled sweaters, wash the jeans and find a decent top and put the sandals by in case some poor kid is desperate.
But poor, poor Cora - an outfit to scar her for life, never mind being named Oops! My daughter says it's a slur on Cora's ethnicity, a way of saying that black girls were more likely to wear provocative and unflattering clothing. I'm sure it wasn't meant that way, but some of Hannah's black friends were offended when they first saw a Cora.

    1. Oops does have a certain ring to it! :)
I only think this outfit leaves a lot to be desired, it's such an odd thing, the sweater would look great with some crops but with knitted pants? I wonder whose Idea it was ?... does Brenda know??

  8. Right now! Let's get this quite clear............As I understand it 'oops' is ............slang for a mistake....

    1. An exclamation of surprise, dismay, apology etc
    2. An exclamation used to show recognition of a mistake or minor accident, often as part of an apology:
3.What you say when you've done something unintentional.

To ME you've NOT done ANY of the above. This was a willfully and intentional and purposeful act done with complete knowlege of what you were doing.

May I remind you that YOU are now down to only THREE more new additional Village vinyl members left for 2015 ...OR it's charity donation time!

    BTW ....She's just gorgeous!

    1. I am sorry to point this out Kendal but in my dictionary there is a fourth explanation which is :
4 , When intending not to do something but being overcome by the lure of the Vinyl !

Okay okay I fess up! I did it Willfully and intentionally, purposefully, in complete knowledge and hopefully! and I won her! :)

I am so glad you are keeping track of my new doll numbers but I think I have to confess it's only TWO now left........ :)
I may have to decide on which Charity I'll be supporting later in the year.....

    2. Oh good! You are keeping count for us Kendal. Please can you remind me of my agreed quota? I can't remember how many (or few) I said I would allow myself......

I'm so glad I have the same dictionary as Dee - it also says that 'donation' means 'an act of charity or cordial support, including the adoption of waifs, be they human child, animal or doll.' So, if we exceed our limit, we can atone for our sin by adopting even more homeless Sashas...........

    3. I think Jenni that Denise has obviously let another doll in whilst I was away or not watching carefully enough and she may well indeed now be down to TWO but lets not forget that it was Denise and SS that suggested the idea and then made up their own personal numbers.

Please note that I'm keeping to my part of my bargain. NO extra dolls this year... unless sold on or exchanged. Still sitting at 65! (Butter wouldn't melt in my mouth I'm such a 'goodie!)

    4. My other doll's not arrived yet..she's for my birthday .....It was SS who started it then went off to play with her V dubs! Leaving me to carry the banner for Dolly addictions!! But I can do it!
What about MISS NOBODY......I do believe that she is new to your brood!!

  9. She is a beauty and you've caught her so well - as you know they're difficult to photo.
But along with everyone else - what's that outfit about?

    1. Thanks Rosie. I did have a Cora once before but she was too minty and hard to photograph but I am trying again !
      I don't think anyone thinks that outfit's fit for a doll! :)

  10. I think you knew you'd be donating to a charity when you declared that's what you'd do! And you really don't mind in the slightest. Go Dee :) x

    1. Louise I honestly picked the number Ten because I thought I would get no where near it!! Just shows you how wrong a Sasha addict can be!! But if I reach my limit will it stop me if the most gorgeous perfect Sasha or Gregor passes my way?......NO!! :))
