It appears that today is world doll day! Which is of course lovely being a lover of dolls.
But personally every day is doll day with me! I just love to see one or other of my dolls everyday and also to look at others dolls, or dolls that are for sale or whose photo's are out there for me to admire.
I was going to set up a photo shoot but due to the fact it rained most of the day, I was working the morning and finishing the garden until about 7.30pm, I have decided to just share a couple of old photo's of the Village clan.
I thought it was time that the boys took centre stage and were on first.
I really need to re shoot this photo because there are now nine No navel's in the village!
Well I hope everyone had a chance to interact with their dolls today and if not there is always tomorrow. :)

A REMINDER THAT ALL PHOTO'S FOR THIS MONTH'S COMPETITION NEED TO BE SENT TO ME BY 6 PM ON THE FIFTEENTH!

A great line up of the boys and the girls for World Doll Day. It was too wet here as well, so I've posted some photos I took a couple of weeks ago. I hope it is better weather tomorrow for your open garden.
ReplyDeleteWe don't actively celebrate world doll day for exactly the reason you mention - every day is a doll day here. So, happy 365 doll days this year, to all at The Sasha Village!
ReplyDeleteEveryday I am surrounded by these wonderful and unique Sasha Dolls displayed in every room (apart of course from the kitchen, bathroom and conservatory which are out of bounds for obvious reasons!) so, like you three here, each day could well have the title of a Dollie Day!
ReplyDeleteSorry though to hear that you all had a wet, rainy day which prevented outdoor play. Luckily it didn't rain here until very late evening as this weather front was coming up from the south.
Wishing you a wonderful and well attended Church garden open day with plenty of donations.
PS. 'The Sasha Brood and I' are posting a little donation too as we feel very honoured to have had the very best... and definitly one of the most personalised..... tour of your magnificent garden and only wish that we too could have visited it today.
I don't celebrate World Doll Day either because as you've already said, every day is a dolly day for me! I do something with one or other of my dolls every single day without fail, I cannot imagine a day going past when I'm not changing a wig, combing hair, changing an outfit or sewing something for a doll.....they are such a big part of my life, as are the LOVELY friends that I've made through them!!!
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a brilliant day with lots of nice polite visitors to the garden.....did you put up a sign saying "NO RIFF RAFF"? LOL! ;)
Lovely photos Dee! World Doll Day is every day for me too! We are so very fortunate to have these wonderful Sasha dolls, and our friends who collect them, in our lives. I am on holiday and taking a bit of time to catch up on blogging comments. :) xxx
