A SAD AND HEAVY HEART

Today my beautiful little West highland white Izzy had to be put to sleep as her health was failing and this was the kindest thing that we could do for her.

We were proud to have had this sweet, yet feisty little dog in our family for the last 14 years and the pain of not having her follow us around the house as we move from room to room is unbearable.

If only she could still be here safe with us, but for her sake it was not to be. Tomorrow we will find a spot in our garden to lay her to rest , so that she can still be near her family.

You will understand my silence for the next few days.

  3. Dee I'm so very sorry. Having met Izzy, I agree, she was a feisty but sweet little girl and despite being blind it didn't seem to stop her from mooching around after us and enjoying your garden. She was a lovely little dog and I know you'll miss her desparately, and no doubt so will the 'boys'. Sending you lots of love and big hugs Sharon xxxx

  4. Oh no, I'm so sorry Dee. It is so hard to say goodbye to a beloved pet. A good place in the garden means she will always be with you.

  5. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time. I had to have our delightful and loveable little Yorkshire Terrier, Zipadeedodah/Zippy/Zip, put to sleep after 14 years. Their passing leaves such an empty sad gap in our lives.
Izzy's brother and their daily visiting friend will certainly miss her too as I will with not seeing her pottering around the garden in the hope of being included in your Sasha blog photos.
Please can you give the other two dogs an extra hug and little titbit treat today from me.
