WHAT A BLOOMING CHEEK !

You may know that I was selling poor old James on FB and Ebay and although he had a couple of offers they were not enough for me to let him leave.
By the end of his week on the adoption market I'd already started to think about pulling his listing but thought to myself, if he goes it will save selling quite a few others, so did not remove him and he ran his course.

So he's staying and I'll get his hair sorted out sometime this year. He looks quite happy about it!

However I received an email from Steve of Gregoropolis, the same afternoon ( Friday) that he'd dropped off, asking me if James was for sale in Florida!!! I also received another email from a reader asking the same thing! I clicked on the link ,Steve had sent to find that, MY James, with his whole listing, photos words etc was on offer at the bargain price of 500 us dollars! Well I'd have snapped him up myself, if I'd been an innocent Sasha collector! The seller had no sales ( surprise!) so I duly reported the seller to ebay and the listing vanished but beware they could try again elsewhere!
If he's dressed on this red and black goth top with red cords and a balding head it's a con!

James tells me he is going to celebrate his reprieve by searching through the boys box of clothes for a new outfit!

So if James is staying a few others must depart, I have a few other dolls , non Sasha's listed and have another couple that will be added to them but I have decided to let go my last, my one and only Course girl Brigitte.

Here she is showing off her height against Martha. I need to find some photos of her so she can go on the adoption market. I will be sad to see her go, she is a fine example of the course dolls , very well made by a Swiss lady called Rita.

So now I must go sort out whose for the dolly chop! Harsh but necessary if I am to get my log cabin!

  1. A treacherous scheme indeed, but also kind of stupid, considering how well connected the Sasha community is. I glad James is staying, as he's such a handsome boy. Those eyes! I'm sure he'll be happy to get his hair restored, although I have to say that I know a lot of 50 year old men with far less hair than that!

    1. Yes, but I do worry if an newbie to Sasha's comes along and buys without knowing.
His eyes are wonderful and he knows just how to use them to his advantage!

Yes his hair is not quite as bad as it could be for a doll of his years ;)

  2. What a sneeky, nasty, greedy world this is becoming! I'm beginning to wonder if anything of ours is at all safe and sound with all these goings on.
Thank goodness for those two alerts about poor James. I bet that he is pleased though to be staying AND getting some more hair to boot!

    1. Yes alas there are some nasty people out there , thankfully the Sasha community know what to do if they see these things.
He is pleased but I think he wants me to suffer a tiny bit to make up for putting him on the adoption market!

  5. I have seen this tried before and once let Shelly know that one of her dolls was being offered for sale in the US. Again it was a scam attempt.

  6. WOW, it just proves how scary it can be selling/buying anything on Ebay these days. I have seen this before in the BJD world too, but honestly it's so blatant isn't it! I'm glad James got a reprieve and is staying. I hope you're able to sell your course doll really soon too.

  7. So glad James is staying. He is very handsome. It is so sad when we learn of people that are dishonest and hurt other people. Thank you for reporting the bad listing and helping someone not to be cheated and disappointed. I wish you every success as you right-size your collection. ❤ xxx

  8. That would have been an awful situation for an innocent buyer. I once had my eBay account hacked and only learned about it when my Hotmail account for doing sales was hacked, too. It seems the criminals involved were selling motorcycles from Italy! I only pay by PayPal to protect myself. I think this boy is a keeper and I like his hair as-is. It's very distinctive.

    1. It would and that's what always worries me when I see these things! The criminals get everywhere ! we have to be forever on our guard!
He is a keeper , it's true and his hair will stay as is for a good while because who knows what would suit him and then he may not be him if it's changed , if you know what I mean.
