AN UNEXPECTED PARCEL....

Last week I came home to find a parcel had been delivered, at first I thought it might be a gregor I was expecting but the parcel was the wrong shape and from the wrong part of the world.

So I left it on the side while I did a few jobs.....

" What's that? " asks a voice
" Let's go see " Says another

Simone and Mimi look at each other
" Let's open it!" say Mimi
" But it's not addressed to us!"  says Simone
" But almost everything that arrives in a box addressed to Mum is really for us! " says Mimi " and we'll be saving her some time!"

"Look!" says Mimi bending down " This piece is already torn ! I'll just tug on it and see what happens!"
Simone watches Mimi start to tear the wrapping!

" Mm " says Mimi looking at the wrapping inside the brown paper " someone's sent Mum an Octopus! "
Simone moves back stunned ! " An Octopus! Really! That's dangerous! "
Mimi giggles " Not really it's just on the wrapping! A real Octopus would need water silly!"

Mimi soon makes short work of the rest of the wrapping and the contents are standing for them to view!

"There's a Christmas card " says Simone " Our very first one!"
"Yes " agrees Mimi " It's from Aunty Carol in Canada "

"Look at all these beautiful slides and things for our hair " say Simone

The girls study the box's contents.
Then Simone asks " What do you have in yours? "

Mimi's box is full of things to make a good breakfast and lots of lovely food.

" This one's got lots of food and food making things " say Mimi

Mimi goes a little quiet while she thinks about the two boxes.

She steps round the food box and stands next to the Hair styling box " I think that other box is for the boys " she says with authority " I do not cook! "
Simone secretly smiles knowing Mimi likes to be waited on and always try's to get others to do her kitchen chores! " You're probably right " laughs Simone ,while thinking she'd quite like to play with that box too!
" Come on , Let's go send Aunty Carol a thank you letter  before it snow's where she lives"
"Does it snow there!"
"Oh yes , she'll be needing a dog sled to get about!"
" Really? "
" Well I believe so but then she could always get a Mountie to give her a left on his horse!"
" Oh that would be wonderful.. do you think we could get a lift from ..

Their voices fade as they go off in search of pen and paper.....

WHY O WHY!!

Do I do this!! You may remember I bought a lovely red haired no navel that came to me needing some re rooting and also a small body repair and putting back together.

Well I could not really afford to keep her due to everything else happening at the time, so I offered her to Michelle, saying I would re root her and repair her. She said yes as she does not have a red haired girl.. Having recently got my new red haired no navel I thought I did not really need four reds!

When I went away in September I took her head with me and re rooted her with some toning red hair. Since then she's waited for her body to be repaired and then finally this was done at the weekend and she's been put together ready to be posted off to Michelle tomorrow.

Here are her photo's taken tonight.

I have left her hair long at the front as I think it looks nice and Michelle can cut it if she wants.

She's got lots of thick hair.

Here she is without the hair band and wearing one of Michelle's Batik dresses.

And here she is ready to go off into the box to see her new mum. She is wearing a Vintage Sasha coat and hat that I am giving Michelle for Christmas, so an early present as I could not send the poor girl naked!!

I so should have kept this girl !! But I thought that I did not need another no navel red...how wrong could a girl be!!

I tried offering Michelle the partly rooted baby and a few quid! But she's having none of it!! drat!
So I have got her promise to give me first refusal should she ever sell her ( Michelle never sells her dolls! ) but I have learnt my lesson, any red haired no navel's I get in future are staying right here!!

Why O Why!!......

OH THE WEATHER OUTSIDE IS

FRIGHTFUL ..but the snow is so delightful.............NOT!!

But these girls of Gill's showing off some of the sweater dresses she is making to order, do look ready for whatever the weather brings our way!! So hoping NO snow!! but that tune came to mind when I saw this great photo, which Gill's very kindly shared with us, there by saving you all from more wedding photo's of the beautiful Courtney!! :)

Love all the sweater dresses and all the girls wearing them. Love the colour of the wool she's using.

I must point out the lovely Phillip seen over on the far right next to Fiona( his girlfriend and a bridesmaid), Phillip, my hero who assisted me over the uneven and wet sloping path, when Paul was nowhere to be found, he cast off poor Fiona,( who did also offer his help,when I paused in front of them to look back for the missing husband) and Phillip allowed me to clasp his arm and stagger in my new , by now, pinching heels down the path, safely , therefore saving me from tumbling head first into wet shrubs or a trip to A&E from head first onto the brick path !

VALENTINE GETS A PACKET

Valentine has been waiting for a packet to arrive from his preferred designer in Europe.

"what have you got there Valentine? " asks mum

"It's from my most favourite designer of clothing in Europe !" answers Valentine excitedly.

Quickly he tears open the wrapper and puts on the item inside.

"Ta Dah !" says Valentine  " No wait there he says quickly " I need to change!"

He rushes off and then reappears wearing navy trouser's and a white roll neck with Euro shoes also in navy with red laces.

"Looking very dapper " says Mum, while Valentine puffs out his chest!

He says waving about ...

"When the moon " he says wisely " Is in the seventh house " he coughs " and Jupiter alignes with Mars "

he gives Mum a serious look " Then peace will guide the planets and..."

"Love will steer the stars " finishes Mum " very clever !"

Valentine grins 

"So " asks Mum " Where did you buy it? "

Valentine looks chuffed " I was just in time to get it from The House of Fanny B!" he says excitedly " Her Designer clothes do not come up for sale very often and she mainly makes for the girl's"

"Well I am sure Fanny B would like you to take off that hat while wearing her lovely coat!"

says Mum

Valentine gives Mum the look that says you know nothing about  street fashion ! and Mum can only agree!

 Suddenly he puts on a pair of glasses!

" Where on earth did you get those Val? " ask's Mum

"Great ain't they !" says Valentine turning to the side.

Catching sight of something in the corner he says " Goodness Lucas you look very green! Are you feeling ill? 

 Turning to mum he says hurriedly " Quick fetch a bucket he's going to throw up for sure!"

" Valentine that's a shrub not a toddler! " Mum giggles " take them glasses off before you have an accident!"

" But Mum It's makes me look older and goes with my ensemble or boy about town!"

"Well you'll be boy about the hospital when you fall down the stairs because you cannot see! "

  

Sighing Valentine removes the glasses and places them hanging from his jacket! This makes Mum sigh but at least she can stop worrying he'll fall over something!

"Well I cannot stand about here all day " says Valentine " I need to talk to Hattie about making me a few new hats to go with my new jacket! I don't want Fanny B deciding I make her clothes look bad! I will need another jacket in the spring!" Valentine then wanders away whistling.Rolling her eyes Mum goes off to ice Gingerbread man, much less hassle...maybe they'd like Fanny B jackets!!
