BONNIE BRUNETTE

I thought I'd best find a nice Frido/Trendon Sasha photo to share and I came across this beautiful photo of one of Ellen Church's girl's.
I am very into the brunette's this year and although I stated in January it was the year of the blonde it was more because I only owned four brunettes and though the year would be very very short!!
But the amount of Brunettes from NP's down that have appeared for sale this year means that next year there should be an abundance of beauty out there.
This young lady's hair is almost black in appearance and her Karen Warnaka smocked dress contrasts nicely with her dark colouring.

Thanks once again to Ellen Church whose property this photo is and should not be used without her permission.Without people like Ellen, Kendal , Brigitte and others who share their beautiful Sashas and wonderful photo's, our Sasha world would be a dimmer place.

  1. I'm on a roll!!
As much as I do love the brunettes as they are can be prettier (if that is possible) than the blonde girls, I can't abide falling hair which many of them suffer from. I try to ignore it, but if they shed, they get shipped out :)

    1. Do you have a stutter!! :))

I bet Poor Merrick searches the bed covers every morning for signs of falling hair then worries if it's been noticed ! expecting any day to find her case on the door step :0
Don't worry Merrick you can always come and stay here with the good but nutty Queen :)
Ps and we have WALNUT WHIPS...Mmmmmm

  3. I love the brunettes and this one of Ellen's is gorgeous (and she is Trendon, so gets my vote). My first 3 Sasha's are all brunettes, baby Mabel (waif) does have slightly falling hair, Florence (an almost minty Marina) has no sign of falling hair and Nicholas James (Gregor sport) seems fine too.

The smocking on the dress for Ellen's girl is beautiful, inspiring for my latest smocking project (baby Mabel is smugly wearing a dress ready to smock - her first summer dress, just in time for autumn!).

I think SS-R has beaten Kendal this time because Lady K is probably tucked up in bed sleeping like a sensible person (12:30 am, I should be in bed too, I'm not sensible).

    1. She is lovely, I agreed. It is a shame that the brunettes can have falling hair but they are so lovely it does not seem to matter.
Karen's smocking is so gorgeous and I can see why it's inspired you for baby Mabel ( sounds about right getting a summer dress finished in time for Autumn!)

Kendal's old enough to know when to go to bed unlike the rest of us who should be in bed but take hours to actually get there!! :)

    2. Congratulations to SS-R!

Yes, Doll Mum, indeed I was, because I know that the hours sleeping before 12.00 are more beneficial than those after that time .... AND at my age (being SO much older than you lot!)I need ALL the help I can get to keep up with you all.

Ellen's brunette is a real beauty! She is certainly tailoring her Sasha collection and buying herself some absolutely gorgeous dolls these days.

(Wish that I could follow suit but I have my daughter's Victorian roof and large ornate windows that need repairing and replacing before the Winter sets in....so no chance.)
So will just sit back and enjoy admiring everyone else's new dolls.....and just think roof tiles and timber trusses and window frames.....How BORING!

    3. Kendal we will never believe you are a goodie two shoes ..:)

This girl is definitely a beauty.

I quite like Victorian house's and unfortunately we all have to let lots of Sasha's slip through our fingers while we make sure the house does not fall down around us! But we don't all have NP's to gaze upon! :) but we do all have Sasha's to cheer up our days..and to just have a word with as we pass...or is that just me....:)

  4. What a pretty girl Dee, thanks for sharing Ellens lovely girl with us! I thought that the brunettes were my favourites but to be honest so manybof the dolls appeal to me that I've come to the conclusion that for me it is the faces and the hair colour is almost secondary!
My collection is a little bit weighted towards the blondes at the moment but we all know that could easily change!

    1. I do think the faces are what appeals first and then the hair is the 'crowning' glory (excuse the pun)Although I must confess to having a very soft spot for the red haired Sasha's :)and did at one time own nine!
I just went and counted up I now have TEN including babies and boys!

Maybe I need to get more blondes and brunettes??? :))
