BRUNETTE OF THE MONTH..MARCH..

You thought I'd forgotten!!! Well I had!! until last night! So here is March's Brunette or I should say Brunettes of the month.

My Twin Limited edition Velvets Violet and Sapphire.

I do love these brunette Sasha's of the limited editions my favourites are these and the pintuck. Sapphire who is the earlier of the two has a small white spot in her eyes which Violet does not have, I think it makes the eyes brighter and more lively. You can see these on the odd Harlequin , so it would seem it was something that was tried but then stopped.

The girls who want to be gardeners when they grow up insisted on wearing their wellies and bringing their garden spades.

Those who follow this blog will know that I was very bad and sent Violet off to Shelly's and she was sale pending by the time I realised what I had done! Then fate took a hand and decided I would get the chance to have her back home and so she returned! I am so glad she did as I do love having these twins in the village.
Sometimes when I see another velvet for sale I'm tempted to turn them into triplets!!!! ..

I love them in these Passion for Sasha dresses by Ginny , their socks are by Sharon, Violets have dropped down and are hidden in her boots!

Here's a nice close up, showing that like all twins there is always a slightly difference between them!

They found their trugs so had to have a photo with them!!

The sun is shining and finally came against the curtains, that I had to draw, to lighten up the photo.

Well lots happening here at the moment I'll fill you in soon , visitors arriving and all sorts of other things happening!!!

  2. Your twins are wonderfully beautiful -and I so like the story of your mind changing.
Spring is coming to the UK?

The highlights in the eyes are important, you're right.
If you watch closer on photos of models, in the eyes you'll see special highlights. Usually you see the photolamps. There are many of them in facephotography and sometimes the model is surrounded by different kind of lamps - reflected in her eyes. Poor girls ;)

And I must ask for the perfect little spades! We desperately need some here!

    1. Thank you Anne. I do love them and should never have sent Violet off! The Spring is trying to come and we are supposed to be having warm weather this week end!!
So everyone will get out in the garden to do things!
My friend bought me the spades last year, the front have the word Dill on them, they are meant to be used as label's I think, she found them in a garden shop! I will look out for them for you!

  4. The way my life is flying past I too have to admit that I had forgotten all about your 'brunette of the month!'
Am also now trying to remember if we had the 'Bear of the month' for February?

Great to have your Velvet twins back together again and reminding us that we'll all soon be back to gardening now that the weather is warming up and the days getting longer. Luckily mine has survived our 'not too bad a Winter' (no snow, ice or long periods of frost and hardly any rain) very well and doesn't need hardly anything doing to it as yet.

Looks like a little more Sasha spending has been quietly done on the side here with their new dresses, socks, Wellington boots and spades. Not sure if the two tier circular box bushes (or a couple more of the pots of tulips) have also been added as well?

Looking forward to the 'visitors' arriving (though not sure if they are Sashas or real life people) and the other 'happenings.'

    1. I agree Kendal I do not know where the time is going! I was so surprised when I suddenly realised that I'd missed posting the Brunette of the month!
I did not do a bear of the month this year, I'll probably just introduced them at various times, when Mossy's not looking!!!
The dresses I have had for a while waiting for warmer weather, The spades my friend bought for them last year but I have not used them, but I confess that the wellies, socks and two tier box bushes are recent purchases :) Tulips are from last year
Visitors and other things.....it's been a strange and wonderful couple of weeks.......in the Sasha world....... :)

  5. I wondered why you'd been so quiet Dee, and not blogging as much as normal...I'm glad to see this post and the twins as I was having withdrawal symptoms! The twin Velvets are very pretty and although they are 'twins' there are slight differences that make them very individual too. I like their new dresses and their wellies, just perfect for digging in the garden.
I too look forward to seeing what you've been up to and hearing about these 'visitors' too!!
    Big hugs, Sharon xx

  8. Hi Dee

I have been trying to post to your blog and it refuses my password,

I just wanted to say I love your Velvet twins. I have Velvet triplets and

they are each different too. What caught my eye was the one with the

white dots in the eyes. I have one like her. Are the plants live ones for you

to plant in the garden or just pretty props for Sasha. Thank you for

    blogging Karen
