But every so often I would go and look at the Kathe Kruse Natterer dolls but managed to look then leave but a while back I saw a boy on Doll Gardens blog that made me think that he would be a lovely one to own!
I was good and resisted, then a week before Christmas I saw one on the German Ebay , I checked and found that the place in UK, where I would have got one, was sold out, so It was now or never........so of course I had to bid and much to my delight I won and he arrived today after his long journey from Germany...
I have named him Albie , which was the name that popped into my head when I removed him from his box.
I have to whisper the next part ....he arrived naked ! Poor boy had travelled all that way in the winter wrapped in foam in his box inside a much bigger box ! Which is probably what saved him from frostbite!!
Albie is very slim , so we had to try a mix and match of clothes for him, until he can have some made to fit!
So he is wearing a pair of the babies dungarees which are a little short in the leg! with a Dolly Doodles Gregor T shirt which is on the big side but at least will keep him warm.
He insists on wearing this Hagnolly pixie hat he found while we were getting him dressed! You can see he looks quite a stubborn little thing.
Unfortunately all the shoes are too big for him, so I will have to get him some as soon as possible!
Albie will be popping in now and then just like the Kids n Cats dolls I can see him being in league with Toby and Zak following behind wanting to be included........only time will tell........

Have I beaten K......AGAIN !!! :)
ReplyDeleteYesssssssssssssssssssss!!
DeleteWell Dee, I have to admit I was drifting into Sylvia Natterer dolls late last year and with the help of Sharon who has some I nearly did....but have since found something else that have tickled my doll fancy :) That said, Albie is a super little boy...and who knows I may go down the Natterer path one day...well done on getting this super little boy...
Kendal's got used to you being away! She'll soon be on your tail :)
DeleteMm nearly drifted but something else dollie took your fancy!! Cannot wait to find out what it is??
DeleteHe is a little sweetheart I am glad I got him :)
Albie is great. How tall is he? Who is going to be commissioned to make him some clothes?
ReplyDeleteHe is about 13 inches tall but very slim with tiny feet! I am bartering with my sister to make him some trousers and a sweater for two berets!! :) I could make the sweater but she is a much quicker knitter than me!!
DeleteWe have 3 Natterer dolls who are also Gotz dolls - Harry, Ron and Hermoine (the Harry Potter dolls) are designed by Sylvia Natterer!
ReplyDeleteI have seen those dolls, they are quite tall? If I remember correctly!
DeleteYes, Harry and Hermoine are 19 inches and Ron is 20 inches tall, he is the tallest of our dolls.
DeleteIt certainly seems that I'm way out of practice with SS-R being away from her computer over Christmas. Must try to be more alert and uppt my game again or else I'll be way behind and will find it difficult to catch up.
ReplyDeleteI remember being very attracted to the little lad featured on Dolls Gardens but daren't go down any routes other than Sasha.
Albie is a delightful little tot. Do the Natterer dolls have their own outfits that you can purchase separately.
Like you I can't wait to see just which make of doll has caught SS-R's eye at the beginning of 2014.
Albie is a lovely little lad. You can buy clothes for him but at the moment I cannot be buying anything!! well I may get him some shoes so his feet do not get cold but I am bartering with Michelle to make him some clothes for two berets!!
DeleteI cannot wait to see what dolls have taken her fancy....... :)
It's a wonderful boy and great to hear you bought him! I'm sure you'll have a good time with him.
ReplyDeleteThank you I am sure I will :)
DeleteHe's nice -and I'm happy you're glad about him.
ReplyDeleteBut I'm not into them. I had a lot -and just sold all of them lately. I my opinion their faces are to much alike (? = you know one, you know all). And they don't match my Morgenthalers.
(Just selling my last Heidi Ott dolls as well. Want to concentrate to one theme -or so.
The Helen Kishs also had to go:)
I am only buying him as Sasha's are my main interest but I do like the Kids n Cats and have a few of those and the odd other doll but that is all.
DeleteFor me the Sasha's and Gregor's have the most character and are the one's I play with :)
ANYTHING is better than a Gotz Sasha :)
DeleteI will be sending you a bar of soap Ronny, for you to wash your mouth out!!!!! :)
DeleteI'm always grinning if reading the word 'Gotz'.
DeleteSounds like the german 'kotz' wich means the (german:) sound
you usual hear while giving your meal right back.
(Putting it out. Or so. Again sorry for my poor english *sigh* sometimes I'm tired using LEO...)
After tasting the soap, Ronny can proove that *g
:))
DeleteA cute little lad - Mum has a girl about the same size, and a larger one too. They are not something I'd collect, but it is nice to have a few non-Sasha kids around. Paola Reina clothes/shoes fit these dolls, I think.
ReplyDeleteJ x
PS Ronny - is your dislike of Gotz Sashas the reason for toddler disappearance? Do we need to dig your garden and break up concrete to find little vinyl bodies there??!
Gnihihi* - funny pic in my head, we together digging in a garden to detect a crime.
DeleteI want to be Miss Marple.
Girls...you do make me laugh:) But maybe I could do a post about it :) Rest assured Naughty Lucas and Little Shelly are alive and well and NOT buried any where :)
DeleteThat's good to hear ! But are you sure Naughty Lucas as not buried little Shelly in the garden!!
DeleteI'll be Poirot ! :)
We should have a new blog then: 'Sasha- the dark side'.
DeleteWe'll call us the famous five:
Anne Marple, Denise Poirot, Ronny Holmes and Kendal Watson. (Because Ronny is on a roll - what ever that means)
Oh - one is missing...
Jenann Maigret?
Sounds good to me!!! Lol
Deletebeing on a 'roll' means that she is getting it right or it's always in her favour or she's winning against Kendal, so she's on a roll!! hope that makes sense!!
Sure, it FEEls like meaning that.
DeleteIt's good to KNOW now, thanks :)
I have the same boy, mine came dressed but no shoes, maybe he had no shoes, I want to redress mine sometime butmy dolls take a back seat.
ReplyDeleteThat's because you are always making those lovely outfits for Sasha's but at least he does have some clothes on!!
DeleteWelcome to The Village little Albie! Such a cute little lad. I have a very similar boy called Connor, he has blond hair though. I have just been taking photos of my boys together and he is in the photos....I will put them on my blog. I like the little Natterers, they work very well as younger friends for the Sasha/Gregors.
ReplyDeleteNow I too am wondering what Ronny has up her sleeve for us to see!!!
He is a cutie! I will have to go check out your lad Connor, I think Albie will work well with the Sasha's and Gregor's.
DeleteI just hope it's not AG dolls or the mini ones! Or Cabbage patch or...mm will just have to wait....:)
Can I be Miss Fisher then? Because she's a glamorous detective...just like me of course! ;) LOL.....I wished!! I'm a bit more like Colombo than Miss Fisher! :)
ReplyDeleteYou can ! although I have no idea who Miss Fisher is?? lol :)
