While searching through some photo's I came across this early one of Hattie's Hat's with Hattietude!!
Of these nine Sasha's only three remain, Violet in the front, Sophie to her right and Hattie next to Sophie.
The hats were made with a beautiful thick cotton yarn and made big to frame the face.
I will have to re shoot the photo with nine of the Sasha's that now live here but will first have to see if I still have any of these hats left!
Bet that the fact that you only have three of these Sashas still there with you came as a bit of a shock?
ReplyDeleteWhilst trawling through my old photos in my pictures only the other day I was astounded to see just how many of my dolls had been 'moved on' over the years.....and unfortunately it still seems to be happening 'as we speak!'
I was rather surprised not to see Hattie in centre stage position here and hope that this will be rectified in the following photo as she certainly deserves the credit with all her cash input from her hat sales over the last few years.
Always interesting when we take a look back into the past.
To be honest Kendal, I was impressed that I still owned a couple!! I am always finding photo's of Sasha's and Gregor's that have moved on in order for another to take their place.
DeleteHattie was not quite ready to put herself forward then, she was still finding her feet , so to speak! :)
I'll have to make sure , she front and centre when I take another photo of her hats!!
I agree it's always interesting to see what we used to own. Dee xx
Interesting....which three remain?
ReplyDeleteI hate moving mine on. They feel like friends (- what does that say about my social life? Haha! ) but sometimes, life gets in the way of friendship.

Violet in the centre, then Sophie to her right and then Hattie next to Sophie.
DeleteSome of mine that have gone, I do miss and wonder why did I sell that one but then I would not have some of the ones that are here, so I console myself with the fact that I enjoyed their visit and now some else gets the pleasure of their company. :)
The same happens to me when I look at old pictures. Quite a few Sashas have moved on, but then again quite a few have moved in to take their place. If only they could speak to share with us all the places they've been and people they've seen in their travels.
ReplyDeleteThat would be so wonderful if they could tell us of the life they led before arriving at our door! I think more Sasha people have a changing line up , some change their Sasha's more frequently than others and some hardly ever, but that's what gives others a chance to own a Sasha they may want the never ending lure of a new Sasha!! :)
DeleteWhat a sweet group of girls, regardless of the fact that so few remain, at least some do. I look forward to seeing a new photo of the girls you have now wearing the hats...if you find them.
ReplyDeleteI sometimes look at the list of 'adopted out dolls' that I have on my laptop...it is amazing how many dolls have come and gone in the last 10 years!!!! And how our tastes change too!
Big hugs Sharon xx
Thanks Sharon, It's amazing when you look back exactly how many dolls have passed through! IF they'd all stayed I be living in the shed!! I agree our tastes do change over the years.
DeleteI must remember to 're do' this photo with an up to date bunch!!
hugs Dee xx
