Well I thought I would fess up as they say and show you why I need to sort out the amount of Sasha things I have. I have been waiting so long for my 'studio' that everything is now on top of each other and between one thing and another it's hard to find everything!!
I am starting with the clothes, then I am going to add in all the wool I do not need, as I have stopped knitting for Sasha.
Yes for shame this is the Sasha store room/third bedroom.
Things are now gathering in bags!! and filling what little space was left on the floor!!
Boxes of clothes piled high!!That cardboard box is empty, I am going to use it to clear some things into to label ready for the 'studio'.
by the end of the week this floor will be clear!!! I hope!!!!!
This is what I am up against! This box contains Dolly Doodle baby coats used.....once a few years back plus summer jackets last used a couple of years back......... can I bring myself to sell some of them.........
My summer Vintage Sasha clothes, do I need ALL of them........? I do need a bigger box once I change all the girls out of their VS Dungaree sets!
So all week I am going to work on this room, along with a couple of other places , so things will go on sale on my sale page and then Ebay as I work my way through. I'll share a photo next Saturday of how I have got on or not.....
*********************************************************************************
That looks like the best room ever! I wish I could come "help" you. Good luck with your sorting and cleaning.
ReplyDeleteThanks Julie :) You Help would be welcome, you maybe good at saying" Just sell it!" when I am thinking maybe I'll keep it encase I need it later!! :)
DeleteLooks like a Sasha Heaven to me! How lucky to have a third bedroom and one that is upstairs out of sight of visitors etc.
ReplyDeleteI can remember that it wasn't SO very long ago that it was just it like this with no carpet showing in your photos .....but then you had a BIG tidy 'up and out' so that you could easily walk over and access the bookcases, boxes etc. and get the props, clothes that you needed for that post.....so how on earth did it get like this again?
Well EASILY as I know only too well but since living in a bungalow with everything readily on show to all certainly stops me from letting mine get like this.... although my Sasha clothes boxes are so full to busting nowadays that things do get creased.....and I don't iron!
It should certainly make a good case for getting your own Sasha studio much more quickly.
Good luck and look forward to seeing the progress.
Yes I am lucky to have that third bedroom at the moment but we plan to turn it into a bathroom, so ALL the things in there now will have to have new homes!! So the more I get rid of now the less I need to find home's for later!!
DeleteIt;s true I did tidy it all before but there are now more beds and horses and 'things' in there now!
I have already made a start and listed some wool on my sales page and I will be listing some more clothes soon on there and also on ebay ! I'm going to be HARD!! Of course I type this now before I start looking through all those bags and boxes!!
Good luck...with us lot interested in your progress you will be tided up in no time...and the money raised from your sale of clothes could buy you another Sasha...what an incentive :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Ronny :) That's what I plan on using some of the money for, A Sasha ..... I do still have at least 8? of my allowance left :))
DeleteWish I was closer so that I could help. Looks like a great big treasure chest full of surprises. Hope that you have fun sorting & reorganizing. Would welcome any ideas that you find to store things in an organized way.
ReplyDeleteThanks Carol, I could do with help, especially the kind that says " Get rid of it! Sell it! " It's needed a good proper sorting out for a while now and I am hoping this will be the week it happens!! :)
DeleteFirstly I'm thinking MORE of those brightly patterned boxes (with the contents labelled) or the transparent plastic lidded boxes is the way to go so that they can stack two deep on the shelves of the white bookcase and so using up all that now wasted space on top of the bags.
ReplyDeleteCould those books in the brown wooden bookcase find another home/place as then the wooden chairs, deckchair, sunlounger etc would display nicely on that. (Not sure if the horses would though as they look to be too high but perhaps they could stand on the very top.)
Kendal I need LESS not more! I need less boxes but BIGGER boxes, so that all the clothes are contained in just a couple of large boxes and the accessories are boxed and labelled ready for the move to the studio!! sometime maybe..
DeleteNow what's wrong with that, Dee.......It looks like the whole of my house does, LOL!
ReplyDeleteNot QUITE true under normal circumstances but that oh so tidily arraged boxing that went on last year ready for builders to move in has turned into something similar ALL BEACAUSE WE DIDN'T LABEL THE BOXES! They say that you should never stop learning until life is over, so aybe one day I'll learn to pack and stash.
I think Kendal should come and stay with you, she is clearly itching to get into the boxes. Or maybe we should swap homes for a couple of days. Somehow, sorting somebody elses stuff always feels easier - a friend and I used to clean for each other - same amount of work but a different environent made all the difference and we didn't have to watch our respective families messing up our hard work the next day either.
But, erm, just how BIG is this studio going to be?
Yes LABELLING is what's needed for some of these boxes as I have sooo much 'stuff' never mind all the clothes and shoes etc. I agree that someone else could tidy it better but I need to tidy and sort out and get rid!! I could not have that done without being there or they may through out the important things..... :))
DeleteThat studio needs to be BIG!!!! :)
Well, I almost feel 'good' now that I can actually see the floor in my dolly/sewing room! ;) But that wouldn't be nice to gloat now, would it?
ReplyDeleteInstead I'd love to pop over and have a good old rummage in that room, I'm sure I'd have a wonderful time :)
I wish you well Dee, I don't envy you the task of sorting it all out....I had the same big task before me last Januiary.....and September too! LOL
Big hugs Sharon xxx
Not you as well!! Judith ( Dolly doodles ) sent me a photo of her nice clean floor in her sewing room! Such a little show off!! :) Mind you she said it was only tidy because she's done something to her website when trying to load up her wears, so had time to clean....
DeleteI'm sure everyone would love to explore that room but it will be much easier once it's been organised!! she says :)
hugs Dee xxx
Oh my goodness Dee, I have to say it looks like a Sasha lovers paradise :) x
ReplyDeleteIt is Louise It Is!! Well if you don't trip over something trying to reach the things that's drawn your eye!! It will hopefully be a much tidier Sasha lovers paradise when I have finished .. :)xx
DeleteDee you will make it, I have every confidence in you! Your room is a treasure box just full of wonderful things! You will tidy it up and pass along the things that you can part with and organize what you decide to keep. A great start and good luck! :) xxx
ReplyDeleteI agree with Louise :)
ReplyDeleteBut Jennis idea swapping the homes is not bad as well.
It much easier -and more interesting- cleaning unknown houses.
The problem is, later you can't find anything I tidied away :)
