Well it's been a week really of Christmas shopping, tidying and clearing out. In order to get my new to me cupboard up into the bedroom, I needed to change my chest of drawers around. Which I did and also started sorting out clothes. Honestly I have no idea how people can be minimalist ! Maximalist I can do easy but even I feel the need to downsize the amount of possessions here from time to time.
To that end we sort of have plans to reduce down to one chest of drawers from two, but here's the problem, the one that should go is the one that's an antique which we have owned ourselves for around forty years. Since we've moved them about, it may be able to stay because It would be a shame to sell it having owned it so long. It's also quick a rare item, It's a compactum. It's a chest of drawers but the top is split in two one half is a dressing table with a mirror while the left half is a marble top with a tiled upstand. That side also has a wooden towel rail on the side.
Today's headliner is Granny Fortuna's shop filled with shoes. Which Granny was selling in the summer. above is a closer view of three pairs.
On the doll front nothing's left but then nothing's arrived, so a win win?
I did get into the studio to start clearing some space but then the temperature dropped to low single figures and then we have been hit by storm Bert ! But hopefully I'll be able to get back in there during the coming week and start setting up the Christmas tale, it's that or having Granny move into the house ! Yes I know how would I ever get her back out again! Even now she mutters about the good old days when she was in the thick of it in the house, seeing everything going on and selling like a shop in a prime position !
Which means the studio needs sorting and quick.
On that note I will wish you all a lovely happy healthy fun filled week ahead.
Dee
