BLONDE OF THE MONTH........JULY.........

A SUMMER FARM GIRL STUDIO SASHA FROM 1967.

This lovely girl belongs to and beautifully taken photo is from Brigitte. Looking at this photo you finally know that summer is here.
Where better to see this fabulous girl than in a field of grass and poppies.

Brigitte very kindly gave me a couple more photo's so that we could see this young lady in more detail.

She is a beautiful example of Sasha Morgenthaler's studio dolls.

And here she is showing us her complete outfit by holding up her skirt and apron so that we might see beneath.

I must Thank Brigitte for sharing her photo's of this stunning girl and I am so happy that they are here for the month of July.

And for once to get in before Ronny..Happy Birthday to all Sasha folk who have a birthday this month, that includes me  :)

AT LAST NEWS ARRIVES....

Today when I came home from work I found a message that the Village crew and myself have long been waiting for!
I now share it with you all...

Ah-hem s'cuse me Mrs Mum, I see you on the compooper. It's Teddy here. We wanted you to tell little Stormy where we are.

We have had such a long journey by bus and train and boat. When the boat arrived we didn't know where to go but we started walking and just kept going.

After a bit we were out in the country and I was starting to wonder where we were going.

Then we saw a young chap on a bicycle. He said 'Hello, I'm Marc and I'm practising for the Tour de France. Who are you?'
My girl said 'I'm Lonely' and Marc said 'A little girl like you shouldn't be lonely, hop on my bike and
come and meet the kids'

So we arrived at this lovely country cottage and Marc said 'If you like it here you can stay, Mum has been looking for a little girl just like you'

'Oh' said Lonely 'I think I'd like to stay for a while'

The kids here seem friendly. Cora let us play with her pram - after all the walking I was glad to get a rest!

And at bedtime Clara read us stories. She did offer to read a story about a lion, a witch and a wardrobe but I didn't like the sound of it - it sent icy chills down my back.
We have had quite an adventure from an Ice Palace to a Cottage and tomorrow as a treat we'll be getting Ice Queem - do you think we'll like it?
Love and Bestest wishes
Teddy and Lonely xxx

AT LAST WE KNOW THAT LONELY'S WELL
NO LONGER LIVING IN THAT HELL
SHE AND TEDDY HIT THE ROAD
AWAY FROM LUCAS THE LITTLE TOAD

A HOME SHE'S FOUND WITH LOVELY FOLK
WHO PLAY WITH HER AND LAUGH AND JOKE
KEEP HER WELL AND SAFE FROM HARM
HER LIFE IS NOW ONE OF CALM

SO LONELY HERE YOUR TALE DOES END
FOR YOU AND TED WILL SOON MEND
NOW THAT YOU ARE SAFE AWAY
WE HOPE TO MEET AGAIN SOMEDAY

THE END.....................OR IS IT.......

Thanks to Rosie and her Sasha Family who are now looking after Lonely and Teddy.

BEHIND THE SCENES AT KENDAL'S.

I thought you might like to see some of the behind the scenes shots that were taken on our visit to Kendal's.

This is where Mossy is telling a pretty little brunette No navel that he really does not want to ride in her pram!

This is where the blonde no navel wants to hold Mossy but the brunette is having none of it!

I was worried they were going to start pulling on poor Mossy, so quick got the pram and had Mossy and Edward placed in to stop any more arguing!

Here Edward is hiding in the bushes to escape riding any more in the pram!

And here is Mossy hiding from the pram pushers, so he could watch the girl's having their photo's taken on the bench.

And here is a photo of Mossy being caught trying to get in on the act!

NATE WANTS A WORD!

Well it's been a very busy week, what with visiting and delivery's ! Sasha related and otherwise. Then the normal things that need doing, needed doing!

." Excuse me Mum!" says Nate " Can I have a word?"

"Of course Nathaniel, how can I help?"

" I just wanted to point out that you dressed me in these lovely Dolly Doodle clothes last week and You still have not taken my photo for the blog!"

"Yes I see but I have been very busy! " explains Mum " I have been helping dad! " Nate raises an eyebrow " Well I did move a lot of the grey bricks for him " mumbles mum.

"And I been to Kendal's and photographed her Brood " says mum defensively
"Exactly You have been taking loads of photo's of the brood and filling the blog with them!" says Nate " We don't mind but I think everyone's probably seen enough now and it's time for you family"

" Well let me start by taking your photo now, in the new DD outfit" says Mum
" I cannot stop now !" exclaims Nate  "It's been raining! and  it's time for dinner !You'll have to catch me later !"

" Sorry Mum " says Nate heading for the door " Maybe you can use some of the brood's photo's for now ?"
and with that he vanishes inside in search of his dinner!!!

NOT A BEAR OR SASHA IN SIGHT!!!

Going completely off the subject of Sasha's and their bears.I thought I would show you what Paul did with the front garden in between putting up my new shelves for Sasha and taking the bears, Sasha's and me to visit Kendal who lives three hours away. This is during our week's holiday from work this week.

This is a photo of part of the front garden where the grass is always covered in moss and seeds itself in the borders. We decided to do away with it, the grass that is ,So shown here is where Paul is starting to cover the grass with the membrane and edge the borders with grey bricks.

Here all the edging is done and the membrane laid and we are waiting for the 4 tons of pea shingle to be delivered. This view is from house out towards road.

 side view from drive

View from corner of front wall back to house.

This is what four tons of pea shingle looks like, well almost he's already emptied one bag onto membrane the  evening before we set off for  Kendal's and this is Friday morning ,still has four to go!

Finished!. View front house to road.

 View from side of drive.

View back to house from front wall.in this photo you can see how the garden tilts due to us being on a hill.

A slightly more level view but you can still see at top by the large pot how much the garden drops away on that side.
I would love to say that I helped but in truth I did a very very tiny bit and everything was done by Paul on his own and what a great job he did.

Hope you enjoyed this non Sasha post.

KENDAL'S BROOD INDOORS.

We took these photo's of Kendal's brood where they stand placed about the house , in all the room's enjoying meeting the guests that come to visit Kendal.
