SUNDAY 1ST MARCH

 

Happy New Month to you all ! Well at last we are in March ! The month of Spring starting and no before time with all the rain we have been having this winter. Mind you there is no given that the rain will lessen ! But hopefully the days will slowly warm and the sun will be more in evidence than it seems to have been lately.

So another week has galloped by ! We , that's the royal one, are still working on the bedroom, so it's slowly coming along.  I'm also still looking for just the right wallpaper, if I'm going to give up on my old lady one. Although to call it an old lady one is to do it an injustice. It's really just a traditional style old country house one. Paul's delighted that I have decided to look for another one to take it's place but the older I get the harder I now find it is to make a decision ! 

Which means the search for the perfect wallpaper continues, which at present is not a problem with the amount of other things that still need to happen first , but I do like to know what we will be putting up and also pairing up the right paint to compliment it. Then lets not forget about if the bedding will still suit etc.

Now I have decided that there must be no more doll buying for the next three months, if not longer. You can stop laughing , I know I can constantly saying this or something similar ! But it will be happening.

I don't need any more Sasha dolls at this time, I have more than enough, since adding quite a few in the last few months of last year, along with a couple more since the new year. So I'll see how it goes, so do me a favour and don't be putting on any button nosed kids or No Navel's for the next few months.

 Today's headliner is my new Gotz Luisa, on her arrival. I have been after one of these Luisa's on and off for years. Normally they only come up in the US. So when I saw this girl come up in the UK and at a good price, well I just had to buy her.  My only issue with her is that she arrived with her hair looking as shown. I asked the seller if she'd recently washed or conditioned her hair , as it still felt a bit damp. She answered that she had conditioned it but didn't wash it as she didn't want to send her with wet hair.

So at present she has had it washed to hopefully get the condition out and is having it dried naturally while sporting a headband to help keep her fringe down. It's already starting to look much better.

So on the doll front three have arrived and one is leaving.

The three are Anika, Luisa and a baby I previously sold.  I bought the baby back because I sold her in a lovely Ruth Dolls smocked dress which I'd wished I'd kept and a lovely mohair wig. So although she's arrived home, the actually baby will be put back up for sale minus the wig and clothing. Which means I am counting it as two in but two out ! 

So I will be enjoying the dolls I have and not looking to add any others for a while.. . . . .

On that note I will wish you all a happy healthy fun filled month ahead and Happy birthday to anyone whose day it is this month.
