SUNDAY THE 1ST OF NOVEMBER

November the first ! Yes , Christmas is just round the corner ! It may not seem like it but October's just flown by, so I'm sure November will probably do the same. The weather knows it's the last month of autumn and the chilly days have arrived although when the sun shines it can still be quite hot. We have had a few misty/foggy mornings in the last couple of days and even had some spooky mist/fog for Halloween night. . .

spooky

Is that a spooky apparition ?   . . . . . Nar it's just Casper

My daughter Lindsey took the above photos on her phone. last night.

We visited the grandchildren and had a lovely time. Adam is back to his old self and full of beans running around and playing and cheeky as usual. They are both growing up so fast.

The plumber is booked to sort out the radiator's but have yet to be given a date for them to arrive and do the work. But hopefully it won't be too long.

We had a large indoor cheese plant but it had just gotten too big and we just didn't have a place it could move to. So I put a sign on it saying free and got Paul to put it out in the front wall post. I'm pleased to say it was gone to a new home within about an hour, which was great as it would have been too cold to leave it outside overnight. So doing that freed up space and recycled, instead of throwing away.

I just love this pumpkin coach that appeared outside the London club Annabelle's.

Whoever designed it is a genius. Once London, especially at Christmas, would have amazing windows down the main shopping streets and it would be a trip out to go ,with the family, to walk the streets and see all the windows. It's such a shame that the shops no longer have the money to spend doing glorious windows, maybe they are missing a trick , since hundreds of people would visit those shops and I'm sure that would have increased the sales. I'm not talking filling the windows with things to buy but with a magical scene to enchant the children and us adults.

So on that note, I'm hoping to get Granny Fortuna to go back to the glorious Christmas shop windows of the past and not fill it with things to buy ! Yes I know I know it will be a hard sell ! But wish me luck.

Paul's sweater now has a back, front and just over half a sleeve , so it's coming along nicely.

Today's headliner is Erik, looking handsome in some bright blue dungaree's and lime green t shirt and shoes.

I've not redressed any more dolls yet, so that's a job to be getting on with this coming week, along with tidying their summer clothes away and not leaving them in a bag to vanish into the mists!

On the finding space front, the large plant going has made a difference house wise but the doll items have still to make a lot of space in the studio or storage. The saving of cardboard boxes is not helping ! I will have to start breaking them down, instead of just throwing them in and filling up what little room there is.

I must get my act together and get into the overflow storage space and gets some photos taken and hard decisions made. But since it's now on the count down to Christmas I don't suppose much will move on.

I have not bought anything doll wise, so that's good.

Remember that it's doll photo day on the 5th, so send those photo's in , all dolls welcome.

So I will wish you a happy healthy fun filled week ahead. I'm off to drop thought of old style Christmas windows in Granny Fortuna's ear, as we all know it will need to be 'her' idea if we have any hope of it happening. . . .
