Today is Paul and my 40th wedding anniversary , we are on our way back from a lovely weekend in Stratford Upon Avon , where we have been soaking up the history of William S and Anne Hathaway.

I know I wrote this on FB but in this photo Paul really reminds me of John Bacchus, the sidekick of George Gently in the TV series of the same name! And I agree with Jenni, your daughters really do look like you in this photo, particularly the one who got married last year!!!! Brilliant photo!

ReplyDeleteNow that I have a little more comment time I would like to add how very young you both were to be getting married. Thinking that you Denise must have been only 18 (I had only just left boarding school at that age!) and Paul about 22. Were you childhood sweethearts then?

Thank you Kendal. I was only just turned 19 and Paul was a few months off 22 and we met a few weeks before my 17 birthday.So not far off child hood.
