HAPPY BIRTHDAY COURTNEY!

It's official Paul and myself are now MIDDLE AGED! for our youngest child is now THIRTY! This is despite me insisting that as each of our three daughters has reached this age that they are fact twins and now triplet's in their early twenties!!
They will insist on denying being Twins and now Triplets! Such treachery ! and to think I have nurtured them all these thirty odd...I mean twenty odd years...

This is Courtney as a child! Well her eyes are brown and her hair blonde although straight ! It could have been this curly if I had allowed her to stick her fingers in the electric socket when she was a child but NO I kept her safe from harm and now she insists that she's thirty... the viper!!

Despite all this I wish Courtney, Lora, Merrick and Chon the happiest of birthdays this weekend, now I am off to adopt a twelve year old so that I may readjust my age accordingly... ;)

The photo above is of my Little Darling doll who I will introduce properly soon. But since Courtney is a brown eyed blonde I felt this little Miss fit the bill.

  1. Wishing Courtney a very happy 30th birthday. Hope that you have a super day celebrating. (My youngest brother's twin girls were 30 too but at the beginning of this month.)

My daughter Chon, says thank you Denise for her birthday wishes for yesterday. Unfortunately she had to work during the daytime but is hopefully playing Polo this weekend to make up for it.

Happy birthdays too to Merrick and Lora.

Delightful Little Darlings Doll, Denise. Look forward to seeing much more of her featured here... though only hope that I can survive the temptation of seeing yours, Sharon's and Joyce's little tots appearing now and then in these public photoshoots! (At least she isn't adding to your 2015 New Year Resolution Sasha Doll quota!)
Have you thought of any names for her as yet?

    1. This little darling girl is very appealing, I'll try not to show her to often I don't want you falling down this slippery slope ! Mind you , you have to wait so long for the artist one's that it would take a very long time to slip down that slope! :)

  2. Happy Birthday, dear Courtney! Go for it - you be 30, if you want to! After all, Dee can't ever retire from her much loved employment if she doesn't reach middle age, can she?

This little girl should be called Courtney-Junior, CJ for short. That's what I shall think of her as being, whatever Dee decides. Sorry but at MY time of life (youngest being three months off 35...), I can't be expected to do more than assosciate the mention of her being like an electricuted version of her daughter with the actual name. I'll see this doll and think Courtney, no matter what her real name becomes.

Dee, she's adorable (horrible Americanism, I know, but I live with one - an American, I mean not an adorable doll -- well there are adorable dolls here but.... maybe I should shut up now that I've told the world I'm loopy? Yes? OK.

Congratualions Dee! Who needs a 12 year old when we have dolls to make us feel we are still Mums to little ones?

    1. Jenni you enabler you! :) These girls of mine have been brought up to have their own opinions and be true to themselves.... no wonder they won't agree!! Drat! :)
I like the word Adorable ! is it American? who knew no I !

Thank goodness the dolls can keep me young, I think a twelve year old would wear me out! I'll forget that idea and just wait for a grandchild or three!! :)

  3. Happy Birthday Courtney, Merrick and Chon. Lora says thank you for the birthday wishes.
We'll catch up with your Mr M story from yesterday in a moment.
I think Dee you should stop figuring out your age by that of your childrens - just pick an age you like and have it. You can always adjust it when you feel like it!

    1. I'm liking you thinking Rosie, I could just choose an age I like or maybe one I could get away with and stay there for a few years, as long as the girls don't catch up I could be okay!! result! :)

  4. Happy birthday to all the girls, (yes, I am saying girls. Solidarity!), both birthday and birthday relatives, of June. Congratulations also to Courtney for being brave enough to admit that she is "grown up," despite the foolish misconceptions of no longer being young after the dreaded 3-O. Personally, I prefer the old saying (I will not say cliche), that you're only as old as you feel, and I think that all doll mothers are among those blessed with an eternally young soul.

Heh, heh, "horrible Americanism," Ms. Jenann? I'll have you know that we Americans are very proud of our horriblisms!

Happy doll and birthday wishes to all.

  5. Oh! I forgot to shower admiration on your beautiful little darling. I've seen these dolls on other people's blogs, and I find them to be lovely. What adorable childish attitude, and such delightful expressiveness! I love the wild curls. They suit her very well, and since we definitely do not want real children sticking their fingers in electric sockets, it is nice that we can experiment with such charming looks among our doll children. Congratulations on a lovely new Village adoptee. My girls all want to give her a big hug! (So do I for that matter).

Happy days for what remains of June.

  6. Firstly happy birthday greetings from me too, to the lovely young ladies who aquired a different number this weekend, Courtney, Merrick, Chon and Lora. All the best people are born in June.....I think I might have said that before, but can't be said enough in my opinion.
As for your age Dee, I'm sticking at 49 I think. My nana stayed that age for years, I must be just like her!
Love love love your new girl, I'm so glad you were able to adopt her and look forward to seeing her being introduced properly in the Village!
