NEW FOR MARTHA

I felt a tiny bit guilty at making Martha give up the lovely Petrana dress to Faith. So I hunted through my never been worn box and found her a lovely new dress by Sarah W of Vintage Sasha.

It's in some pretty fabric that I had for years, to do a craft project with , that never got done and Sarah bought a couple of pieces when I decided to sell the fabrics off.
So when she made some dresses from them I managed to buy one.

It's another lovely warm sunny day! so we are making the most of it.

I have to say that Martha always takes a nice photo.

Plus she's always happy to model and is always calm.

She does not even blink when the little gargoyle starts whispering " What ya doing? whats that thing the Mrs is pointing at ya? Got any biscuits? "

She ignores him and waits patiently while I snap away.

He even strains his neck to get into shot! constantly whispering " It's quite hot today! any chance of an ice cream? Lolly? chocolate? " Gargoyle cannot eat but do like to talk when they have the chance!

Finally he goes quiet, his talking time is over! Gargoyles can only talk for five minutes during the day and ten at night, so peace and quiet once again rules the garden.

Martha goes back in for a cold drink and a biscuit!

  1. Very nice fabric. I especially like the combination of the puff sleeves + Peter Pan collar. The dress suits her eyes.

  2. So pleased to see that Martha was given another new dress (which also is HER colour!) to wear after she has so nicely given up that other longer length dress without too much of a fuss or tantrum.

Liked the last sentence of a 'COLD' rather than the previous 'HOT' drinks and biscuits. Loving this hot, sunny weather and hope that it continues to last for the Easter and Bank Holiday weekend coming up.

    1. Luckily I still had this one waiting for it's time to shine! It was one of those left in the packet then found and put into a box until the weather warmed up again :)

Yes definitely cold drink weather in the UK today ! Let's hope it lasts for Easter weekend!

  4. I think this dress suits Martha so much better than the longer one (pretty though that other dress is).

And I am just {{giggling}] so much at the antics of Monsieur Gargoyle!!! Hahahahahaaa. I loved that touch in this post. Thank goodness their chatting is limited to the five minutes during the day and ten at night, otherwise there would be no peace in your garden at all!!!

Those Gargoyles could talk for England.. when they get the chance, they get a full hour on a full moon night! Can keep folk awake terrified by all the noise coming out the darkness!! ;)

  5. To get through a "never used" box and find such a lovely VS dress, that's luxury! I also think it suits her better than the other one.
Well done Martha to ignore the gargoyle's talking - I would have gotten into a giggling fit and ruined the photos.

    1. There are still a few things in there!I always discover it when the clothes are the wrong season, there are some cardigans still waiting! and a coat! But now will need it to be Autumn for those!
Martha is used to the strange goings on in this garden, talking Gargoyles, talking Dragons and who knows what else! :)

  6. It's lovely that Martha got something new after all, and what a nice dress it is, the fabric is lovely. I didn't know that about gargoyles, I thought they only talked when it was cloudy, and then only for 7 minutes! Honestly you learn something new every day on this blog ;)
Anyway, it's great that Martha wasn't distracted during the photo session!

    1. It was and lucky it was the perfect colour for her! :)

Cloudy? I thought it was during stormy weather they got an extra 7 minutes? or was that snowy weather? I cannot keep up with all these strange goings on! ;) xx
