A QUIET SPOT.

It was very windy today but Paige had managed to find a sheltered spot in which to rest and read to her doll Kit.

She was reading Kit a story from her very own book.

kit listened closely to the tale of her adventure.

They could hear the wind rustling the trees and shrubs around them while Paige read.

So noisy was the wind that Agnetha was almost upon them before they or she noticed!

Agnetha was taking her doll Zou Zou for a walk round the garden.

Agnetha and Zou Zou joined Paige and her doll on the bench and for a while they chatted about this n that. Then the talk turned to dolls and then their dolls.

They stood the dolls up and compared their height and clothes.Paige mentioned that Kit had come with a book all about her adventures. Agentha was impressed that Kit had a book.Paige likes Zou Zou's red coat and stripy tights.

Each gets a closer look at the others doll.

Paige wonders aloud if she can get Kit a nice red coat. Zou Zou looks worried Paige might decide to take hers!

Agnetha tells her to ask mum if they make other clothes for Kit and she says she'll ask mum  if there's a book about Zou Zou!
Agnetha decides it's time to head back to the house...

Taking Zou Zou's hand Agnetha says goodbye and walks off back down the path leaving Paige to continue reading the rest of the story to Kit.

But first Paige gives Kit a hug telling her she's the best doll in the whole wide world.

Meanwhile Agnetha holds Zou Zou hand and tells her she's the best doll in the whole wide world!

Zou Zou loves her mum best in the whole wide world too but she's hoping she'll not make her walk all the way home!!

Yes a lovely quiet sheltered spot in the garden.

In the never ending quest for Sasha sized items, I came across Kit a mini American Girl who was being sold on ebay for a bin price which included postage, so I bought her as a play doll for the Sasha's. She is a very good size for them and also comes with a perfect sized book for Sasha. I would not buy another one as the face does not overly appeal to me but the books are a different matter.
Zou Zou is an Helen Kish doll and has jointed arms , so they can be positioned , although a little bigger I think she still makes a good doll for the Sasha and she is much more expressive with a lovely face. She stands well.  Zou Zou was also an ebay find.

  2. Dee, these photographs are beautiful, the two girls look like real little girls playing with their dolls....and each photo is perfectly posed and positioned. I loved seeing this post. I also liked the new little dolls. As you know, I used to have the same Kish girl but sold her....although I kept her outfit and my Elfdoll Hana Angel wears it. I suppose Hana would make a very good doll for my Sashas....I have several BJDs in the small size that would be a good fit, but I think of them as little 'people' in their own right....I will have to give it some thought.
The little Kish shoes are great, aren't they? So nicely made!!!
    Big hugs, Sharon xx

    1. Thank you Sharon, the light down in that part of the garden seemed perfect for photo taking.I love that little Kish girl and I was so tempted to have her a 'person' but managed to stop myself although she did let a few of her thoughts be known :)
Yes the shoes and clothes are so sweet!! another slippery slope to avoid!!! lol

  3. So pleased to see that you have positioned the little bench there as I was going to suggest that you try to find a seat to put outside the potting shed to enable the weight to be taken of the feet after a hard graft of gardening.

Loving the planting in this part of your garden. I see that the Honeysuckle is now in flower so should be smelling delicious down there too.

Delightful seeing the 'girls' playing with their very own little dolls.
(Although I'm not a lover of the American Girl Dolls themselves I do admire how they have gathered together suitable accessories etc to enhance and accompany the dolls and enable us to role play with them.)
Each doll's very own storybook is another super touch.

Loving your Sasha girls in their VS button fronted smock dresses.

  4. The little wooden bench was only there for the photo shot, the small metal bench will be left nearby for weary gardeners :)
Not only the Honeysuckle but the Lilac's are giving off glorious scents at the moment.
I am not a fan of American Girls and must say that this mini ag's face is not the best but she is a good size for a dolls doll and the little book is good for Sasha's.Now AG accessories are brilliant and well worth checking out! :)
The VS button smocks are so nice I cannot bring myself to change them into anything else!!!
