JOCELYN GET'S CHANGED..

Jocelyn has been waiting patiently for a change of clothes since she arrived earlier this year.

"Excuse me Mum " she says softly " Can I have a summer change of clothes?"

" But you look so nice in your Ginny of A passion for Sasha dress and red J j sandal's " answers Mum.
" I do love them Mum but I saw a very pretty dress that came just the other day that I would love to wear " replies Jocelyn shyly.
Mum know's just the one she means " That would look lovely on you, so yes let's get you changed "

A little while later....

Jocelyn is back wearing the new Karen Warnaka smocked dress and blue socks by Gill and a blue pair of Jj sandals.

"That suit's you nicely " says Mum " But I wonder what we should do about your hair !"
"My hair ? " asks Jocelyn
" Yes Turn round let's look at the back "

"Yes " says Mum " I wonder if we should cut some of the length off ! But how much ? "

Mum pushes all the long lengths of Jocelyn's hair behind her back , so it appears short
" Mm " mutters Mum " should it be cut this short ? "

"Or " says Mum " keep a bit of length ? " she pulls some of the hair back " I wonder what the other's think? "
Jocelyn feels quite excited that she may get a trim or a chop!

So Followers and visitors, what do you think  I should do with Jocelyn's hair? go very short page boy look ?or keep some length?
Please leave your comments .

Here is photo of hair with big ribbon to side.

I quite like this look.

and here is picture with bunches

Not to sure about this, makes her scrappy fringe look worse and not to sure I would put her in bunches
 looking like this!

  1. Lovely girl. Both dresses look great on her as blue is definitely her colour!

Personally I'm all for leaving her hair as it is as it's more versatile at that length and could also go into pretty side bunches as a change.

    2. Like it with the bow at the side.
Bring her up with you when you come in a couple of weeks time and I'll
have a go at putting her hair in bunches.
Meanwhile I'd go with the flow and leave it the length that it is now.
She is a really pretty doll and her hair is much better styled than my Fringe girl's.

    3. Yes Mrs Kendal. I will bring her with me, to have a touch of the Kendal Magic treatment.
She is pretty but I'm sure your fringe girl's are very well groomed :)

  2. Any chance it will grow back if you cut it and don't like it? Thought not :(
I can see it cut in a bob with a big bow on the side. But then, Kendal mentioned putting it in bunches, and I think it would look very good that way. Sorry, not any help.

    1. Oh if only it would grow back! but think of all that trimming we'd have to do or pay for!!
I have added a photo of her with big bow at side, like the look, much tidier and sweet looking.
      Thanks for help Julie

  3. Afternoon girls...well done again K for getting your comment in first:)
In my opinion as much as I love a nice 'bob' I think it would be a shame to chop it as I think she suits the length it is now, it is such pretty hair and she is such a pretty girl (who looks fab in her new frock)

    1. Nice to see you back after propping up the economy down in Brighton and Hove :)
Thanks for opinion, either way it will need tidying if left long, maybe I could have it trimmed to make back in long bob or would that be two shillings/ half a crown ?? Lol :))

  4. I love the little-girl-growing-her-hair-long look. It's odd that we tend to think girls have either long hair or short hair - there has to be the in-between phase at some point.
I like her as she is and love the fringe - regulation length in my childhood when we were not allowed hair covering the eye brows .....in case we went blind (!!??). Am I the only one with teachers, parents and grand-parents who had their own strange brand of medical advice to live by?

    1. I see what you mean Jenni but I may need to tidy it but keep the back long ? Her fringe reminds me of when your mum or dad decided it needed trimming and they could not cut straight!!!

Isn't it funny what different people believed was sound 'medical advice' lol and I bet there are still people one there with strange idea's... :)

    2. I remember the start of a new school term, uniform you would 'grow into' and the classic '60's Sasha doll short and choppy fringe...perhaps one of the 'hairdressers' at the Sasha factory used to cut her own kid's hair..it would account for some of the uneven/impossibly short fringes that some of the Sashas have out there ...that drive us mad and we can't wait to get them re rooted :)

    3. Oh yes the grow into uniform...I remember it well....:)

    4. Still haven't grown in to mine and I'm rising 60....The amount of time and thread my mother used in turning all that stuff up and taking it in would be worth more than a replacement uniform and, oh, the discomfort of all those darts and false hems in thick blazer and gym slip fabrics.Today's fashion conscious kids would refuse to wear it at all.

  6. She looks lovely in that dress Dee, soooo pretty. As for her hair, I don't know what I'd do if she were mine! I love the bobbed look but also it seems a shame to cut that length at the back!
Sorry I'm really no help at all, am I!!!!

    1. No help what so ever ! :)
But then I go from think to trim, then not to trim and so far the votes go both ways too! :)

  7. Normally, I like shorter hair on little girls, not past the shoulders, but her hair is lovely - perhaps you could just trim the length a bit to give it a nicer "V" shape. It looks like it would swing nicely as she moves.

Please though, don't do her up in bunches again - it just accents her choppy bangs.

That blue sure is her color. I love that it goes right down to her shoes and socks - just perfect!
