A LITTLE SOMETHING TO PLEASE THE EYE

I was looking for a photo to fill the page while I am busy working this week and came across this group of Ellen Church's No navels.

I was surprised by the difference in their heights! I had not noticed this before, so thought I would share it.

See how little the one on the right is! makes her appear like a younger sister to the bigger two No navel girls.

Just had to add this photo of this Gorgeous brunette with Brown eyes, I love her and wish she was living here.

Look at that sweet face, so delicate and fine. love love love......

once again I must thank the wonderful Ellen Church who shares her photos and her beautiful dolls with us all so freely.

    2. Yes, you certainly DID beat me at that time of night! YOU should be in bed fast asleep like me at THAT time!

Intesting photo as I hadn't noticed that the Gotz differed in heights too. I
'm wondering if it was caused by the way the mould was pulled out and then dried rather than a change in new moulds as there looks to be too much of a difference.

Also doubt if there would have been a re-newal change of the moulds since the new No-navel shape was only introduced for the last two years of their production. Hope that someone comes up with the correct reason.

    5. Kendal she has to keep checking the fire under her cauldron's not gone out!! :))

I had not noticed the difference between these girl's until I came across Ellen's photo again, I wonder if the little one as a smaller torso?

I will ask Ellen tell us if she knows why this little darling is smaller .

  2. The height difference is quite marked, so even amongst the no navels there must have been a change of mold for at least one section of the doll - it would be interesting to compare leg and torso length.

    1. It truly is a 'big' difference and in a way lovely to see although they do say the Sasha's range from 14 to 16 in but she looks so diddy!

  3. On closer inspection there is a slight difference in the lengths of their necks..... but I do have some much smaller than the others dolls amongst my collection and Shelly sometimes says in her descriptions that it is a 'petite' doll.
Have looked at their shoe sole's height as this can often be a cause and the smallest doll does have the thinnest soles of the three but not enough to give such a difference in the heights.

    1. Maybe her head is just down? but even if raised It would not make much of a difference to her height!
Did you study under Miss Marple Kendal? you are very thorough in her investigations :)

  4. Beautiful girls, but wow that is true, there is a marked difference in their heights! I love it though because it does indeed make the one on the far right look like their little sister or friend. And of course in real life kids of the same age all grow at different rates so it's great that Sashas do too! ;)
I like their dresses and matching socks.
The brown eyed brunette is gorgeous Dee, she has a very dreamy look to her.
Thanks to you and Ellen for sharing these lovely girls with us!
