PICNIC TABLE part Two

Following on from the was it me? post, here is the picnic table that's now it's had a couple of coats of stain, colour Bluebel and I found the Chinese Parasol I bought a few years back and had not got round to using yet.

Katie a Kids n cats girl (Lena) Paige my dungarees girl and one of the babies at the back.

View of the parasol a perfect fit.

You can see the girl's shaded by the parasol.

I love the new table colour.

another view.

Without the parasol.  This is such a great prop for the Sasha's and their friends I can see this getting a lot of use over the coming years.

many thanks to Tom and Kim for making it for me.

  1. It's even nicer now that you've added the stain and the parasol, and yes, I think you'll get loads of use from it in your garden with your dolls. I wonder if I could make one of these or get Brendan to make one for me? It looks like they've used decking, is that right Dee?

    1. Thanks Sharon, I think the stain does add something.
I'm sure Brendan could make you one, Tom made it form one of the wooden decking squares that you can buy.

  2. I really like the blue color of your picnic table Dee. The parasol looks great and the photo taken from above was a great shot to show the pretty design on the parasol. It look great too! Your dungarees girl, Paige, is beautiful and looks ready for a picnic and to have a great time outdoors wearing her cheery red dungarees and spending time with friends! A great post and thank you! :) xxx

    1. Thanks Ginger. I picked the blue because it would stand out against the grass and then realised that there was a deeper blue in the Parasol, so was a good match.
I do love Paige , she's got that little girl look younger than the usual Sasha and the red playsuit by Ruth Hartley looks so sweet on her! :)xxx

  3. I am liking the blue stain and bigger parasol here. A truly great prop and can see it appearing in many of your future Summer posts.
A good example too of how well the Kidz n' Cats's double joints allow them to sit properly on the bench style seat.
Hope that they aren't still waiting for their cooling orange juice drinks to appear.

Your Flower garden 'room' is looking very neat and tidy after it's big boarder sort out and re-styling.

    1. Thanks Kendal. The blue sets it off and the parasol is a much better size to shade them children when the sun is out!
The flower garden is much neater now but we still have one side left to do and two to edge but no rush, other irons in the fires round here!! :)
