So I had nearly settled on the white with the blue design, when I went for another look in my fabric stash and found.... the William Morris fat quarters !
Now I cut out the foam for the seat and wrapped several of the ones I'm considering around it to get a feel for which would look best.

Well I'm thinking the darker ones look better but still to decide. You are welcome to say which one you think looks good in then comments.
I saw the first fabric, and I though "perfect". Then I saw the second fabric, and I thought "perfect". Then I saw the third fabric... I don't think I'm going to be much help here. Perhaps you just need to make a different Morris cushion for each day of the week!
ReplyDeleteLol I know what you mean, that's the problem with William Morris fabric's they are all just so nice and I did think oh I could make a couple ! But I think number two the deep blue Lodden will be the cushion especially as I think the first forest one would make a nice screen... ;)
DeleteMy immediate thought seeing the first two was "Yes, perfect", as they both picked up the natural wicker colour really well, then after looking at them all again, I preferred the second as the animals on the first seemed a little large. The bottom two I felt lacked colour and had very little impact on the eye. Now viewing the fawn, I agree with your comments on the previous post.
ReplyDeleteBig hugs,
X
Exactly my thoughts on the first two, that deep blue background works really well with the wicker. I also decided on the second especially as I realised I could use the first for a screen covering, juts need to mention that little project to himself ;)
DeleteBecause the pieces are from a fat quarter batch, I'll be able to use one of the other pieces for a couple of toning cushions. Hugs x
